Honestly, I hated EVERYTHING about this show. I hated it so damn much, that I was actually determined to avoid anyone who actually liked it. If anything, I was the biggest hater of the show ever. You could say that I thought it was as bad as cancer. But after one of my good friends became a brony, and even wore a shirt of it to school, I finally gave it a try, thinking that it would kill me. And after that, I watched another episode. And another. And another. And another. And I became a fan in just a matter of hours

Oh, I HATED it. My younger sister was watching it one day over summer break, 2013 and I walked in and soon as I saw what was playing on the TV I knew what it was (It was Nightmare Moon from the end of the S1E1) I got kind of annoyed with her but I dunno, I guess I was bored or something, so I sat down on the couch and started watching it. Then I turned on the next episode... then the next... then the next... until I was obbsessed. (I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong) Now I love MLP!

At first, I was skeptical, because I always knew it was for girls, so when the G4 show rolled up, it was likely I didn't want to bother watching it. Then I saw Spike, which was cool as he was not only a dragon, but also a male, which was something I never saw before. Then came the mane six, who were very feminine (except Dash who had a very cool tomboyish attitude), and had their own personalities (I still hate Rarity because of her annoying germaphobia and ironic selfish nature). I liked the show after watching an episode or two, and soon had my favorite pony, background pony, and princess which are Fluttershy, Lyra, and Luna.

Sit down, everyone. It's story time!
Long before I saw Friendship is Magic (I was about 6), I saw about an episode or two of the G3 version. It was at my neighbor's house, not mine. I didn't really love it, or like it that much, but there was nothing else to watch! It wasn't until when I was 12 did I see the promo for the G4 version. I was pretty skeptical, but didn't hate it. Then I watched the first episode, then the second, and kept on going. I finished watching the entire first season in just one week! I didn't know what, and I still don't, but there was something about the show that made it just so good. Now it's my favorite cartoon! ♡
And that's my story!! :D

Well, I gave the show a shot after accidentally bumping into the pony.mov series on youtube. Since I had no knowledge about the show prior to that point, I thought I was seeing the actual cartoon! So I started researching, in effort to find more episodes. Then it turned out it was a show meant for little girls... but I've read numerous positive reviews about it, so I was like: "Hmm... why the hell not?"
So I downloaded the first two seasons and started watching it. At first, I felt exactly like Ultron did when he was born. :D
"No...No... This feels wrong... I don't get it... the concept... just... give me a minute..."
I felt quite neutral toward the first two episodes and as a media analyst, I had to watch more to form a positive or a negative impression. And before I knew it, I have spent more than half a day, watching entire season 1 from back to back. I was hooked on ponies from then on. It is rare to find such a well written cartoon these days, a show that actually conveys a positive, descent message. Many cartoons could take inspiration from the character dynamics in MLP. :D It is one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life.

To be honest, my first impression of MLP is not so good, cause the first Brony I have met is quite annoying (actually he is good person, just always try to assimilate others by posting a lot of "sexy" pony pictures on forums which have nothing related to MLP). I decided to try MLP when I heard that Q (John de Lancie) is in this show. I fell in love with it when I finished the first episode, though Discord was not there until s2e1.

My opinion was colored by the fact that my first exposure to the fandom was The Greatest Movie EVER! Podcast review of Season 1 of FiM. It made me more open to the show than many, although I was still a bit wary, due to it still being MLP. But once I ended up watching the first episode, I was hooked.
