My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Question

HELP. ME. PLEASE.

So here's the big whoop. I'm a closet brony (I'm a girl, but I like the term brony, okay?) and I don't exactly like sharing that with my friends. Even my closest friends. But then one day at school, my closest super-duperiest friend came up to me.

Her: Hey, I wrote an awesome new song!
Me: Let's hear it.
Her: *sings I Have To Find A Way*
Me: Uh, yeah. Cool. Great job.
Her: Thanks! Credit goes to moi~!

What do I do?! She just stole a MLP song! But I don't want to tell her that I know it, because she's the worst at keeping secrets! Once she finds out I'm a brony and like ponies, she'll tell EVERYONE!

Trust me, I know my school. I'll be a laughing stock...
*
And I don't want to ruin our friendship either...

Don't be scared, I didn't want to tell anybody that I liked mlp but when I relized that 2 of my best friends liked the show... actually they loved it so we share the same likings. Don't be scared.... if you don't want nobody in your school to know just act like u hate the show and about your friend stealing a song well technically you can't do anything about unless you want to tell him/her about it. Btw your welcome.. ;-)

look..i dont know about you..but if she knows MLP and you do to..then you should tell her how you feel (and also not to tell then to the whole school) and if it was me,id tell her this "hey, you just stole a song from MLP! you cant get credit for that"..."lol! you like MLP? now this is a scoop"..."and this is a scoop, you just stole a song from a show for little girls which is MLP and i do watch MLP:Fim its a part of my childhood thank you very much" and if she's really your friend then she wont sabotage you,but its still up to you though.. :)

and just telling you know a certain show doesnt mean you're already a super fan of it...(ex.i know 'Tom and Jerry' but im not really a 'super' fan of it)

I know where your coming from.. But isn't possible you should just let it slip.. It's more of just irony, than stealing one of the songs..

Or you could lie, and hear you heard that is from the show, and insist you haven't actually seen it, just know that particular detail

Um it's a SHOW, you deserve to like it. Who cares what they think. Anyone has the right to like whatever they want. Just tell her!!

If you're set on not telling anyone your a brony (which I don't blame you for since I don't want to either), then I think you could just say you thought you heard it somewhere and suggest that she looks it up on the Internet to see if it was already made. This could make it seem like you just heard the show on at a family members house or something and it won't seem like you are a brony.
But if you change your mind about telling no one your a brony I think you should go with alinah_09's advise
Hopefully it will work out with what you choose to do :)

Why do you care what other people think of you being a brony? Besides, you've got a bunch of other bronies to back you up! In fact, I'd be shocked if there weren't even a brony or two at your school! Do you remember in the episode "Call of the Cutie" where everyone was picking on Applebloom because she was different, and then Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle stepped in to defend her? As for your friendship with your friend, you said she was your closest, super-duperiest friend, for Arceus's sake! If that's true, your friendship should be strong enough to withstand this.
