Why did Luna change?

When Twilight used the elements of harmony, luna had light blue hair, but in luna eclipsed her hair was different, and i want to know why it changed.

I think it is because she wasn't fully "restored".
Ex. She hasn't controlled the night yet. So after she was back to normal it was Celestia who was controlling day and night then when luna came back from being evil, her hair wasn't flowing/glowing because she hadnt control the night in a while
