Well it doesn't have to be in season 3, but I really want Discord and the Changelings to come back. I think Discord and Queen Chrysalis would be great villains if they were to work together.
I want to see more of Shining Armor and Princess Cadance. They are so cute together and I want to learn more about them. When did they start dating? How did Shining Armor propose? I have a question since Shining Armor and Princess Cadance are now married how does that affect Twilight and the rest of her family. Is Twilight now a princess or duchess or something? Will Twilight and her family now have royal obligations?
Also, I think Trixie should return possibly as a villain or maybe as a new friend. Either way since her first appearance in season 1 I've been waiting to see if she will appear again.
I want to see more of the families of the mane six. We've seen Twilight, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie's parents, but have yet to see Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Apple Jack's parents. And their families have only made brief appearances and some like Twilight's parents haven't said a word.

And I would like Cheerilee to play a bigger role. Kind of like she did in hearts and hooves day.
It would also be interesting to see more of Cadance and Shining Armor.
