My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Question

Do you think that the Rainbow Dash from Season 1 is better than the Rainbow Dash from Season 2?

Greetings, it's me again.

I just watched a clip from MLP, and a guy said in a comment that the RD from Season 1 was better than the RD from the current season.

I ask you, guys, what do you think?

I thought the same thing too

They made her extra annoying and reverted her back to "the tomboy that says 'cool' and 'awesome' a lot" instead of a more complex pony. Don't get me wrong, I like RD but she always did have that type of unlikable personality but Season One did it in a way where she was still a character. I think it was both of the episodes that she starred in that bastardized her character.

yup. I've never been a huge RD fan. In season 1 I'm rather neutral towards her. I didn't find her funny, but she didn't annoy me either.
However i hate her in season 2. Unbelievable how selfish she is at times; not to mention not much for loyalty. That's my 2 cents.

Hmm, I agree, somewhat. I always like Rainbow, but she's seemed a little more shallow and vain in Season 2, especially in The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well. But then, she's not always that way; like in The Last Roundup, she really cared about getting Applejack back.
I think that it varies in Season 2 just like in Season 1. Still love Dash, and I think she's still a cool character.

Yeah, cause I hated the Ponyville Confidential Episode Version of EVERYPONY in the show, including Rainbow Dash, because of their cruel & immature hypocrisy toward the Crusaders. (It was for that episode only, but the only ones I didn't dislike were the ponies that WEREN'T traumatizing the CMCs, like Cheerilee). I mean come on, IT WAS NOT EVEN THEIR FAULT, PONYVILLE!!!! THEY WERE BEING FORCED BY THAT BRATTY BULLY DIAMOND TIARA!!!! I H-A-T-E HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THIS ENTIRE EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!! (Except the ending of it I'll admit was decent, but still not even enough to save the episode from being my all time WORST in the ENTIRE SHOW).

I guess so... Technically the principle of all TV show characters is that they're supposed to get better every episode/season. So by following that logic, she should be, y'know, if she's not. But I bet she is. ^_^
