Ugh. Sorry but I honestly loathe this movie, I don't think I've ever had such a strong negative opinion about an animated movie before (and I've seen Home on the Range!)

I think it's safe to say I won't be watching this one again.

^Yeah but how? because I'm trying to rationalize which parts people consider bad, and I honestly can't find any, other than at one point dogs were flying plans with squeaky toys.

^ well i don't mean to be rude, but if you "can't find any" reasons to dislike this movie, then maybe you need to open your mind a bit more. sorry, but just because you love a movie and find no faults with it, it doesn't mean everyone else has to think the same way. obviously not 100% of the population is going to enjoy a movie. i don't mean to insult you, but even my absolute favourite movies have faults (every movie has faults) and i can definitely understand why others don't like them. and i can undertand why people like Up aswell.
i just didn't like the overall plot (while it's bittersweet and heartwarming, i just found it slightly stupid) the characters - talking dogs? really? it just didn't fit in with the movie IMO, an absolute lame villain, an unlikeable main character (at least in my opinion! even though i understand why he's that way but still) and Russell is okay but a little annoying, they tried too hard to make him funny. and i just find it slightly boring, in general. i admit it's got really good animation but other than that i just don't like it at all. i can't really explain it, (honestly i find it hard to justify whether i dislike/like a movie, it's just not my cup of tea) i don't understand why that's so hard to comprehend.
oh and btw, i actually loved this movie the first time i saw it. i was so excited for the DVD release that i preordered it and each time i rewatch it i just like it less and less (can't say i've watched it all that much though) and now i just dislike it. i suppose objectively it's a well-made movie, it just doesn't do it for me.

^I didn't mean to come off sounding defensive of the movie, I was just genuinely curious as to why. Now that I know your reasoning, I totally respect it. Curiosity gets the best of me sometimes lol.

Also, I'm a huge fan of finding non-mainstream movie gems, so my mind is pretty open to weird and offbeat genre's (I'm looking at you Japanese film industry!).
