I don't really hate the Lion King, but some other Kimba the white lion fans do because we think / know (take your pick) that disney copied the idea without giving the other company credit. Look it up and see what you think.

for me it does not matter because it is a great movie and no one else makes me cry like that

here is one of them. I don't know what people see such cool in this movie. It makes me cry and IMO movies for kids shouldn't be sad. Of course death is part of everybody's life and children should know it but i also think childhood should be great time of fun and laugh. Well, i just don't like it. I prefer to cry on 'movies for adults' :)

yes but it`s very instructive too ..and so what there`s death in the movie i really dont`t care...i was 5 when i watched it for first time and scroll it maybe 10 times becouse it`s sad and funny and i just loved it .. and i think it`s a good movie for a people of all ages

The only thing that gets on my nerves is that if you're a Disney fan, you're almost EXPECTED to like The Lion King. Its almost a requirement.. people think you're a weirdo if you say "Oh I don't like the Lion King Much" and it quite frankly, pisses me off.

I like The Lion King, but it isnt one of my favourites at all. I like so many other disney movies better than it. I'm just sick of people thinking that you HAVE to like The Lion King if you like Disney.. if you know what I mean?

I like it, I agree it's overrated though. And there are too many people who can't get their head around the idea of anyone not liking it. It's not in my top five Disney movies, but I do enjoy it.
Btw, I love the icons for this pick :)

It'S so great. I did find it difficult to watch when I was younger though, because it's so heartbreaking.

It's a great movie. Truly a Disney classic.
