where's the option for "neither are ridiculous"? I'm not the biggest Julia fan but I think she did a good job in Erin Brockovich and while I haven't seen The Country Girl I think Grace Kelly is generally talented.

At least with Julia, she would've been my second choice that year after Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a Dream. Grace Kelly would've been my third or fourth choice that year, after Judy Garland (A Star is Born), Audrey Hepburn (Sabrina), and Dorothy Dandridge (Carmen Jones).

^ well I think both are talented. Either way "the two most ridiculous Oscar wins of all time" is entirely your opinion, it's not fact like the question suggests.

Judy is definitely FAR more talented than Grace and even today there are a lot of people who are angry at the Oscars for not awarding Judy her well-deserved best actress Oscar. They were so sure that she'd win that they had the camera's hooked up in her hospital room because she had just given birth to her son. But I won't say that these are two completely ridiculous wins because they're both fairly talented. They're not brilliant actresses by any means but are good. It would be ridiculous if completely untalented people won.
