God, I hate Mary Jane so much (although I liked her in the first movie). Gwen was awesome

Mary Jane SUCKS! She's poorly written, adds nothing to the story, whines a lot, is complete useless baggage, and is only there to be pretty and get saved by Spiderman constantly to make him look good. She's not a character, she's a plot device and the typical useless superhero girlfriend. Gwen actually adds to the story. I love when the superhero's girlfriend actually knows about their secret identity because they actually get to help. She's smart, creative, funny, is useful, actually helps Spiderman, has to be saved but can also save herself, and is just a well-written character.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!! I was devastated when they actually killed Gwen. We finally get a superhero girlfriend that is actually useful and they kill her off. Now they're gonna replace her with a new Mary Jane who will be a damsel in distress that Peter has to constantly save, won't add anything to the story or be helpful, and they'll start up all that annoying garbage about protecting her by not being near her or telling her his secret. When you look back on the old movies, Mary Jane actually didn't get captured or in as much trouble after she found out, she still did but not as much. So all that bull about protecting her was for nothing! I'm dreading this character in the third movie for the new movies.

They had said from the get go she was going to die so idk why everyone was so shocked. Ugh I hated MJW though really wish she had been killed in the first trilogy
