One of my favorite movies is the adaptation of Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451ΒΊ. It presents a future American society where books are outlawed and "firemen" burn any that are found. One should wonder how a life with no books would be like. I hope I won't have to find out.
Btw, if you haven't read the book or seen the movie, you should do it, especially if you like books.

π ROUND 52 : theme by rosemina => Scariest Villain.
Mine : Pennywise the clown from Stephen King's IT. He's not the scariest but he's definitely creepy, IT crawls under your skin and stays there.
I haven't found creepier than this "lovely" clown. Hope is ok with you rosemina. And thanks for the theme. Great one !

The Joker. He is definitely scary. He is unbelievable evil and knows human's psychology and behaviour. He doesn't want money, power, or anything. He just wants to watch 'the world burns' as Alfred said.

Benedict Cumberbatch as John Harrison/Khan from "Star Trek Into Darkness"
To me, the most scariest villains aren't those who can defeat the hero with bodily power, but with their mind. And Cumberbatch plays the most recent addition to my list. The way he keeps changing his tactics around the Enterprise crew without losing his initial goal out of sight, that's truly scary in my book.

Second choice then! Norman Bates from Psycho. I think the title of the movie explains everything.
Btw my all time favourite and scariest villain is Jim Moriarty from the TV series Sherlock BBC. Just saying.

Jame/Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs 1991)
This one was tricky. I love horror films and don't get scared easily but this character gave me nightmares at one point, so I'm going with him.

I know we already have Jeremy Renner here in this round, but his portrayal of Sergeant First Class William James in "The Hurt Locker" has simply blown me away (and that's coming from a gal who doesn't like to watch war movies at all)
I haven't seen that many war movies, so the first solder that comes to my mind is Forest Gump.
