Eagle Eye is a movie that definetely knows how to begin, but not how to end.

--
There aren't many movies like Eagle Eye. What I first saw of the trailer led me to believe that it would be a fun little movie where they must obey every order or they die. The first fifty minutes are exactly that. But as the film progresses it moves away from that and becomes an average action film.

It starts off with the government blowing up an Iraqi who they believe to be a high rate terrorist target. After he becomes mince meat, the story really kicks off with Jerry Shaw. His brother has just died and when he returns home he finds guns, weapons, toxins and more in his apartment. He gets a phone call from a woman who tells him to leave the premices immediately. He disobeys and ends up in a government interrogation room.

When he is allowed a phone call, the same woman calls him again and after disobeying again to get to the floor a huge crane smashes through the building. This is where the original adventure premise begins. He and another woman have to follow a bunch of orders and eventually end up in the same black Porsche. After this part, the story gets more complicated. They start talking about explosive hex crystals and stuff, which at many a time is unfollowable.

The only thing I'll say about the rest of the plot is something at the very end. Jerry goes to the womans' sons' birthday party and when the kids go to play rock band, the woman says "I'm glad you're here." And he replies with "Me too." And then it goes to the credits with a heavy rock beat. You'll just sit there, pondering why you paid to see a movie that concludes with two people saying how they're happy to be at a kids' birthday party together. I've already made my point.

I cover everything else here.

PLOT
-------------------------------------------------
Intelligent from beginning to middle but stutters slightly at the conclusion. 8.5/10

CHARACTERS
-------------------------------------------------
Each character has a different personality. You can get used to them all and it keeps things varied. 9/10

VISUALS
-------------------------------------------------
Stellar special effects. The scene where the plane crashes and Jerry ducks behind the car is sweet. 9.7/10

OVERALL
-------------------------------------------------
8.4/10

While the ending leaves much to be desired, Eagle Eye is fun and will keep you entertained. Despite what I mentioned about the very end, I hope it's worth your money to see.
