it looks like she can lose her temper fast, but emma roberts is an okay pic, but too soft and sweet, I think. she needs to be more fierce, and i think Alexz can do that. and even though she's 28, she can play 16. lots of actors/actresses do that. :P

I think Alexz is too old and has too much of a 'rocker' look. I think Clary needs to look more fragile. Molly Quinn from the TV show Castle is my perfect choice for her, she's exactly what I had in mind for Clary :)

most of them look too old. Emma is my choice, Molly is my second. & Emily doesn't look like she cloud pull off red hair, she looks too asian.

What is with people and picking Alexz Johnson? The only reason that anyone has even noticed her for the part is that she has red hair. "Oh my gosh, she's a redhead so she can play Clary!"

They don't realize that hair is one of the easiest changeable things when playing a part in a movie.

First off, Clary is fifteen. Yes, FIFTEEN. But I do realize that older actresses have played teens in the past and it's quite common.

BUT in the case of Clary-- she's supposed to be fifteen but described as small, petite, FLAT-CHESTED and looking like she's actually eight years old. So not only does the actress have to play a 15y/o, but they have to play one that looks even younger for her age.

Alexz is short-ish, NOT flat chested, NOT petite (she actually has curves) and doesn't even look like she could pull off 15.

But yet people go "OMG redhead, play Clary!"
-.- Ugggh.

The best but I already know Lily Collins is playing Clary.

She's a wonderful actor who already looks the part.

@freshfunkpride: Her chest size can be changed - other actors have made their chests flatter (they wear layers and special padding). And petite doesn't always mean "not curvy."

My wanting Alexz has nothing to do with her hair color - that's actually an extremely shallow and judgmental assumption to make. I've seen Alexz act in many parts. She's a very diverse and flexible actor - I think she could easily play the part of the stubborn and fiery Clary.

I'm one of those people who is already starting to like Lily Collins as Clary. I've not seen her acting on screen yet, but I'm already thinking she will play the part well.

I used to think Alexz Johnson would be a great CLary, but then I began thinking more and if not Lily Collins then Alexa Vega would be Clary for me. Have you seen her acting in Spy Kids? She was fantastic in that, granted she was younger but still fantastic nontheless.

Anyway, that being said; I'm still all for Lily being Clary now.

Lily is great and all, but...she doesn't look like a Clary! And (no offence) but her eyebrows are a little big and... I hope she's able to pull this off, cuz if she isn't...I'm gonna be very mad.
