I know he doesn't exist... But...

I've been learning computer animation for a while now and have a big dream of making a Minecraft video series. However... I'm not sure people would like the story. I won't give away the plot or even the question behind the plot, but I need to know a really over-asked question; What do you guys think of Herobrine? What kind of character do YOU think he is?
I do NOT need his origins, I already know what they are in real Minecraft. I just want to know if you think he's evil or not! Thanks!
