Miley Cyrus is the cover girl for the latest issue of Billboard magazine, on newsstands May 31. She chats with the mag about her new album, her dislike for pop music, her inspirations and Glee, to name a few.
Check out some highlights below:
On her video ‘Can’t Be Tamed’: Before the video debuted Cyrus told Billboard, “You’re going to, like, die when you see the birdcage in the video because it’s so crazy. I’ve got, like, 30 dancers in there and a tree and a nest. Literally, it’s out of control. I’m definitely going to be doing a lot more stuff like that.”
On what she likes in music: “I listen to zero pop music, which is really weird for someone who makes pop music. My 13-year-old self would have beaten up my 17-year-old self because she would be like, ‘You’re a sellout!’ But that’s not what it is. It’s not dance music that’s just about, ‘Ooh, I’m in the club and everyone’s looking at me.’ It means something. I’m not just sitting here trying to sell glitz and glamour . . . because no one lives that life. A lot of [pop] songs are super shallow, but this music isn’t.”
On her inspirations: “With anything—the clothes I wear or the way I want to look— I don’t plan it. Even with the video [ for ‘Can’t Be Tamed’] I had the treatment, but beyond that, it was whatever comes. We didn’t have all the choreography set in stone because I didn’t want it to end up looking fake and polished. Everything in life has to come naturally or I feel like it’s just been done.”
On TV show ‘Glee’: “Honestly, musicals? I just can’t. What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes? (laughs) It would get hits on YouTube.”

Miley's interview with OK! thx to Luiza A! Does Billy Ray give you advice on men? No, honestly, my dad just hopes that for once I do have something going on in my life so my dad's happy for me. I have someone normal, too. Not pyschos so that's good [laughs].'
What qualities do you find special in Liam Hemsworth? He's a 6'4'' Australian surfer. I could not surf if someone gave me $10 million to do it. I'm 5'4'' and I'm from Tennessee, so we're, like, literally couldn't be more opposite but there are just things in our life that help us related to that's really cool.
On possibly marrying BF Liam: My dad says there's no quicker way to ruin a friendship than to get married so that's what I always have in my mind. But my grandma's the opposite. My grandma met her husband on Monday, got married on Friday and they have been married for the last 45 years or so. I got grandma on one ear and dad on the other.'

The new CD will come out on the 22nd of June, 2010, so write that date down Miley fans!
You will want to buy this CD because it may be the last one that she will do for some time. She said a few months ago that she will stop making CDs after this album and focus on her new career as an actress.
Miley wants critics to take her more seriously. She is sick of being treated like a inmature teen. She can't wait to turn 18, when she will legally become an adult.
Hannah Montana: Did Miley Cyrus Have Swine Flu or Not?
There's still no rest regarding the swine flu epidemic, and the reps of one Hannah Montana star are in conflict about her situation. Miley Cyrus was recently diagnosed with strep throat when she canceled her worldwide tour, but there's been plenty of buzz saying her condition was more than that.
Miley's rep denied that the 16-year-old popstar fell victim to the H1N1 disease. However, her Hannah Montana co-stars didn't seem to agree. Cody Linley, who plays her love interest on the show, spoke with the Reelz Channel's Hollywood Dailies this week and announced the news.
