After I put my hair up, I grabbed my house keys and headed down the stairs. Alex, my oldest brother, saw me heading to the door.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
I turned to him before I got to the door.
"Out." I said.
"Out? Out where?"
"Just out. Gonna check up on Kelly."
"Oh okay. Have fun at the audition."
I smirked. "I will, no worries."
Then I headed out. Alex must have known about the audition. Either that, or Brandon and Sean told him about it. Those two are such squealers. Wouldn't surprise me much, though. I headed through the park, because the studio was on the other side and I didn't want to take the long way.
Halfway Through The Park
I was looking around and saw something shine. I raised my eyebrow and went over to it. I kneeled down and saw a pair of sunglasses.
"These look like Michael Jackson's...where could he be?" I asked myself.
Little did I know, he was up in the tree. I carefully put them in my bag and continued walking toward the studio.
After The Auditions
(Me: Sorry! Feeling lazy lol) I paced around the lounge, a little nervous about if I got the part or not. They had said, before the auditions, that they would let Kelly decide. I talked with the other girls in the lounge and all of them were confident and knew they'd get the part. It just made me more nervous. Soon, I saw Kelly come out. We lined up and she closed her eyes and held her finger up. I closed my eyes as well, feeling very nervous. Soon, I heard gasps coming from the other girls. I opened my eyes and saw Kelly smiling and pointing at me. I gasped myself.
'Oh my gosh...I got the part.' I thought.
Kelly came up to me and hugged me. I hugged her back. I guess it was because we already shared a sister bond that I had gotten the part. Then the director came out and came up to me.
"Congrats, Ms. Rebecca. You have gotten the part of Kelly's big sister for Smooth Criminal. Now, we start rehearsals tomorrow at 10:30 am. Alright?" He asked.
I nodded. "Yes, I got it." I told him.
He gave me a schedule of the rehearsal days and times and soon enough, I was on my way home, all excited.
Going Through The Park
I stopped and took out the sunglasses.
"I should really find out who these belong to..." I told myself. So I shouted out. "Hello? Did anyone lose a pair of sunglasses?"
No response came. I tried 6 more times, but I got the same result. I sighed, put them back in my bag and started again for home.
After Getting Home
I unlocked the door and got inside. Alex came up to me.
"Well? How did it go?" He asked.
He's always encouraged me to do my best. He's technically the only brother that will make sure I'm happy. I looked at him and smiled and showed him the schedule.
"I got the part!" I said.
Alex and I cheered and he got out two Pepsis and gave one to me. It's technically my only sweet drink treat I get for either doing something good or getting a role for a play or short film. I then headed up to my room, pinned my schedule on the wall, set my alarm and soon went to sleep, thinking happy thoughts.
Three weeks later on the eve of her birthday, Holly is in her bedroom packing up the remaining items that aren’t too visible. As she packs a stuffed dog into one of her duffle bags she hears the muffled shouts of her parents arguing downstairs. Every time she hears it she still gets a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach just like she did when she was five years old. Because every time she heard the beginnings of an argument it was bound to turn violent. “One more night,” she mutters to herself as she grabs her clothes from the drawer and packs it in another suitcase. Suddenly...

The booming sounds of rhythmic beats pound in Westlake Studio A as Holly sits at the mixing board. Her long hair pulled back in a ponytail as the fans are on full blast to beat out the hot Californian summer heat wave of 1979. Even in her daisy duke shorts and tank top, she can still feel her skin sticking to the vinyl chair. As the beats go she sits with paper in front of her and writes corresponding lyrics that come to her, sometimes humming, others singing out loud. The time in her studio was her saving grace lately; especially her and Michael haven’t been as close lately, not by Michael’s...

Jada now
Jada now
Jaycee's P.O.V.

I grunt while dragging my drunken sister Jada out of the bar. My hand is shoved in my skirt pocket, shuffling around for the keys to my Ford Cantina. Times like this is when I wish that Jada was never my sister. She's an underage drinker and my mom has done nothing to stop it. It's not like she would anyway; she's always with her ' boyfriend ' James.

When I opened the car door, I slid Jada in the backseat, when she starts to mumble under her breath. As I come closer, her breath hits me in the face 5 seconds before her face was close to mine.

My nose crinkles up in disgust before...
