“Hey Mike, you ready to go again?” Chris said as he walked in. Michael quickly let go of Brooke.
“Yeah sure, hold on,” Michael wrote something on a piece of paper and gave it to Brooke, pretending it was an autograph as he gave her a wink, “Here you go, it was nice to meet you.”
“You too, Michael.” Brooke said as she walked out the door. She looked at the message on the paper... “Brooke, meet me at my hideout tonight at 7. I wanna know more about you than just your beautiful face. I’ll make sure security lets you in. The address is 25 East-end Avenue. If you can’t make it, I’ll see you at the studio tomorrow and talk to you then. Love, Michael.”
Brooke didn’t hesitate to hurry home after work. She was DEFINITELY going tonight. She knew she needed as much time as she could possibly get. The thought that in just 2 hours she was going to a secret hideout to see Michael Jackson was unbelievable to her. She needed to look her best.
She arrived with perfect timing. 7pm sharp. As she went inside the gates, Brooke could see Michael standing by the door, waiting for her.
“Hi there gorgeous,”
“Uh, hi Michael,”
“There’s no need to be nervous sweetie. Just relax,” Michael said comforting her, “You look beautiful,”
“Thanks Michael,” Brooke said, now more relaxed.
“Let’s go inside, out of the dark. We can talk in there,”
“Okay. It is a little cold anyway,”
“Aww, you cold beautiful? Here, I’ll keep you warm,” Michael put his arms around Brooke as they walked inside, “Prince and Paris are with their nanny tonight, so we don’t have to worry about waking them up. Why don’t you sit down, Brooke, and I’ll get us a drink. What would you like?”
“Just water please, Michael.”
“Okay sweetie, I’ll be back in a second.” While Michael was gone, Brooke looked around her, looking at Michael’s pictures that surrounded the room. She saw pictures of Michael with his family, Elizabeth Taylor, Brooke Shields... and E.T.? She couldn’t believe it. She’d always loved E.T. as a child, and still did. Michael walked back in to see Brooke smiling at the picture of him and E.T. He leaned over her shoulder without her noticing and asked, “Watcha doin’?” Brooke jumped at the sudden sight of Michael, being still in her own little world. Catching her breath, she laughed,
“You scared me to death, Michael!”
“Aww, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you... You like E.T. huh?”
“Yeah. I sound like a big kid, but I love him. I always did when I was little.”
Michael smiled, “Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me... I don’t know if it’s obvious or not... but I sort of like E.T. too... Don’t tell anyone though!” Brooke couldn’t help but giggle at Michael’s remark, “You wanna watch it, Brooke?” Michael said sounding excited. She was the first girl he’d liked that didn’t think he was weird for liking children movies.
“Sure Michael, I’d love to.” Brooke knew that way, at least, there wouldn’t be any awkward silence between them while they were talking, ‘cause they could just turn to the movie.
“Well in that case, I’d better get some candy and popcorn for us then, huh?”
“Okay then.”

American author and entrepreneur Gotham Chopra has revealed in his new book that it was his beloved pet pooch Cleo that helped late Michael Jackson overcome his fear of dogs.
The socialite visited the King of pop at his Neverland Ranch home with his father Deepak one weekend and, not knowing about the superstar's fear, took his canine friend with him.
In his new book Walking Wisdom, Chopra recalls, "Michael's fear of dogs was well documented, attributed to the fact his father had had violent fighting dogs when Michael was a kid.
"Alas, what hadn't been written about was his change of heart. I'm not going to speculate that Michael ever did get over his fear of dogs, but I can say that he did get a dog - several, if memory serves - over the years for his kids," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
"I like to think that... Cleo had a lasting impression on him, and for a brief time, turned into friendship," he added.
