Katy Perry makes Billboard chart history with fifth No. 1
By Jen Blushi
Her latest single, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," has become her fifth No. 1 song off her "Teenage Dream" album.
The song hit the top position on Billboard's Pop Songs chart Monday, making her the only artist in the chart's nearly 19-year history to accomplish such a feat. Her singles also make up five out of the six titles with the highest-ever weekly spin totals.
Perry has had a monumental year. In addition to her five No. 1 songs, she is also the only artist in history to be VMA-nominated for four separate videos in a single year, and her movie debut in "The Smurfs" just barely missed the top of the box office.
If "Last Friday Night" reaches No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, she will join the likes of Michael Jackson, who had five No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 from his album "Bad."
The writer of this article seems to be impressed with Katy's music career. The writer also neglects to mention that the record was set by MJ FIRST. But he is being awfully generous and kind to say that Katy "shares" this feat with MJ... Yes, I'm being sarcastic. I think it shows the sad direction that music is going. Does Katy write her own songs??? Yes, I'm sure she probably does...I've heard her songs.... Or is she simply another "robot" manufactured by this money- hungry "music machine"? Yes, I'm sure she probably is.
I personally want to congratulate Katy, no, really I do....However, she will NEVER defeat the KING's "Thriller" album record!!! Music is definitely NOT what it used to be. MJ you are the KING and you will ALWAYS be the BEST!!!

All Michael really wanted as an adult was to be a kid.To run round until your parents called you in,to ride your bike round town to just be a normal kid.Joe Jackson didn't give a damn about Michael. All he wanted was more money. Michael's older brothers Jermain and Jackie often bought girls back to the hotels they stayed at.We all know what happened after that. Then when michael became an adult,Those stupid tabloids said a load of crap about him.He was just trying to be the kid he never could be.Now hes dead. Martin bashisheadintoawall as i call him said some awful stuff to.We all miss you michael. i hope youv'e found your childhood.
Michael's P.O.V
When our private jet arrived in California, I was more than overjoyed. I could see my mother, sisters and Randy again and we could be together for the moment before Joseph made another gig. Honestly, this is much better than when we had to do those " chitlin circuits " we did in the mid 60s. Then, I was far away from those I enjoy most, I already see my brothers everyday.
Hayvenhurst seemed to glow more than usual, and I couldn't be more than excited to see them. I could rest with no interruptions and embrace my mother with all my might. I just hope that one day everything will stop at a pulsing halt; maybe have our family be together, not by default.
* Running out of ideas but I'll keep hanging on and let my creative juices flow! *

I'm working on my first adulthood solo album with Quincy Jones ( whom I call Funky ). It's supposed to be a sign that I'm not a child anymore and that I'm completely capable of working without my brothers under my wing, and my father taking charge of all my actions.
At least with Quincy, I know that he thinks that I can be a successful solo artist. And then there is other reasons too. I want to be known more than another black artist. I want to overcome those color barriers. And being stuck in the same R&B chart isn't fun either. I want to break that streak too. I also want to be became better known outside the United States, I want to thrive outside America and explore and get a bigger fan base. I know it's a lot of expectations but I know it'll all happen someday....
Sorry it's so short, just having a mild writers block. I'll be sure to make it longer next time though. <3 Hugs and Kisses
