Parents don't understand my love for Michael Jackson?????

Hey, you're not the only one here.. Since I became a fan, when I was around 11-12 years old and untill now, my family never understood me, never understood my love for Michael.
Obssession, craziness.. without mentioning the bad words regarding Michael, all this hurted me a lot, but I always got over it when I looked at his pictures, listening his music and watching his videos. I never wait for people who doesn't even know what the word "fan" means, who were never fans of anyone, to understand me. They're blind and that's their problem, not mine.
I remembered that someone said "In the world there are 2 categories of people: the MJ fans and the losers"!!! :))
So true!! I feel blessed to be a MJ fan, I feel so blessed to have discovered him, his music, his dance, his purity, his love..
Your love for him is in your heart, you know better what's there and you don't need anyone to tell you how to feel.

I'll be 39 this coming August and I'm still and "MJ" fan, and I don't pay any attention to what father says despite tge constant teasing I get from him, so don't feel rained on.

I say just ignore them. Yes i understand its hard to do but trust me you get use to it after a while. I was in your position once. I sadly was one of those who didnt really pay attention to michael when he was alive, but when he died i started watching his vids alot and buying mj stuff. I actually kept it hidden for awhile because almost everyone in my family hates michael and would always crack jokes about him. Since ive learn to ignore what they say about me being a fan and they have since stopped making jokes. My uncle actually gave me a michael jackson cd set this past christmas. Anyways, no matter what your family says you should be proud to be an mj fan, and and anything they say about him or about you being a fan shouldnt matter at all. I hope i helped you a little :)

the same things is going on with me like my mom and my friends don't understand my love either. Like mom freaks out when i get something that's michael jackson and say | oh you''re so obsessed with him and people who are obsessed are weird" like what's wrong with being obsessed it's not like it's hitler and if she finds me obsessing or whatever she'll take all my mj stuff. i tell her that they are bigger fans that are more crazier she doesn't listen. Second my friends one is like " you're gfoing to hell cuz you listen to him he's a satanist he sold his soul to the devil " and all that stuff and the other friend like " you're always like omg mj!" and " you're going to hell" and"he's dead get over it" like she used to be okay with me loving michael i wish they would stop dissing him.

My advice is to just ignore them or confort them i'm sorry you're parents don't understand your love to michael

he got angry and we never talked about it again ^^
i know that if my mom would be alive she wouldn't let this happen but there's nothing that u can do ... u have to support MJ , even if u cant deal with ur parents,,

My grandma is the same way I'm 2 young 2 be in love with a 50 old man he's old enough 2 be my dad but, I don't cared what she says and my sister 2 so f**k them. It's my choice 2 like whatever i like and I feel the same 4 u. My grandma and sister both hurt me so I'm tired of mj or do u listen 2 anything elase beside michael.

I, too, am a mj fan, even before his death. When he died, i became so obsessed with mj. I've been called the same things, but you know what? people have the craziest things to say about anything, even our parents, but you shouldn't care about what thinks about mj.
People don't understand about Michael Jackson. They can be so freakin' ignorant about him. Everyday, you learn something new about him.
