what was it that really happend at the MTV music awards 2002?

all I know is that Michael thought that the award represented something else that it really represented...

Umm isn't this where he got the Artist of the millennium award?? If so, I think what happened was that Britney Spears was presenting the award and before she was supposed to give it away, she started talking about Michael and how he should be awarded as artist of the millennium and then I think it was said that he came out on stage cause he thought that award was being given to him. Yeah it was a misunderstanding but they still let him keep the title.

doesnt it seem so funnys that the press used so much
emphisis on the word "humiliated".it wz just a misunderstanding.like if theyr so much better.
