Can you be a Michael Jackson fan if your a fan of Kiss?

I am a big big fan of MJ but still Kiss is one of my favorite bands . I must say , I felt hurt when I heard what Gene said about Michael , because I becamed a fan of Kiss & I felt like I left MJ down , like I was pushed against the wall & MJ fans were also disgusting me . But I DON'T CARE what Gene said about Michael . it's HIS fault , not the whole Kiss's group . It's GENE's fault . I'm a fan of their music & their style (you know the makeup etc.) . but I could NEVER replace them with MJ . & you can be a fan of anyone you want , no matter what other people say

Bull shit, you can be a fan of anything you like. It doesn't matter what other people say. For instance, I like Michael, but I like Elvis more. I don't let anyone tell me that I can't like one or the other.

It's up to you to decide to like whoever you want to like. Gene Simmons may be many things but one thing his is not is stupid. He would have never said what he originally said about Michael unless he truly believed it. His apology rings rather hollow to me. Why can't you just be a fan of people's music and not of the things they say? I am more angry at the tribute concert promoter for NOT doing his homework and finding out what Gene had said BEFORE inviting them to perform at the concert.

Of course you can. Their music has nothing to do with their personal lifes and opinions, even if they disagree.

People always tend to bring personal life into their job, which is doing music, and that's wrong. You need to learn how to separate both. And I'm referring to other artists too.

gene is the enemy(to me,and not just coz he said shit about mj-there's just bad energy about him)not the whole lot of kiss,even though i dont like their music.but if u wanna like kiss,like it.michael didnt wage war against gene,so i dont see why fans should.
