You're a true fan. Ignore what people say. I started to like Amy Winehouse MORE after she died. It doesn't really matter if you were a fan, before or after they passed away.
Why should people care anyways? Don't they want MJ with more fans than haters? Psh they should all just grow up.

dont worry i was the same way. I didnt really pay much attention to mj before he died. Then when he died i realized how amazing he was...and now hes like my idol.

Ignore thoes kind of people. People who call other fans FAKE are FAKE themselfs . I used to be called FAKE too many times . Wanna know why ? Because I also like many other musicians and I really REGRET that I'we ever cost any Tears for them . You know in your heart that you are not Fake and besides like Paloma said , it doesn't matter when or where do you become a fan , it just matters that your Love is True. aaaaaw i understand you my sis , don't listen to these people.I became a mj after he died too,because i didn;t know him before but this doesn't mean that you're not or me a real mj fan.Do you know how many people have become fans of mj after his death? the point is that it's important that we are fans of mj now and we all love michael and we are here to support him and share each other our love for him :))we are all a mj family ,no matter what.And at least,i 'm happy that i learnt about mj ,'cause he has changed my life,the lifes of all fans<3 i really love all the fans and i know that together we can do anything.We are all united and we will always stay together as a family.I know that we had our arguements and disagreements,but i know that we all love each other and we should respect each other.And i wanna say sorry to the people who i may have said bad things about them.But i just want all people to respect mj and i hope that there aren't people here who pretends to be mj fans,'cause i don't want anyone to call mj names or disrespect him ,because i really love him,from the bottom of my heart.

dont listen 2 what people say just because u became a fan until after he died dosesnt mean ur not a fan if ur a true fan u r but 2 be a true fan u have 2 love him and that makes u a true fan MJ would have agreed with all of us!!!!

Just don't hear this type of comments, obviously these people doesn't know what they are saying, because a REAL fan is a person who LOVES, ADMIRES and RESPECTS his/her favorite artist...

I always loved Michael but, after his death, I love him more.. That's not means I'm not a real fan, that's one of stupidest things I never heard..
