Why do people say Michael Jackson is an actor?

Okay, first off.. I am not a hater..

******I am a big fan*******

But it is ridiculous to even call him an actor.

He has been in like three movies where he has had to act.

That's like calling Kim Kardashian an actress. (She's been in a few movies)

He is a SINGER.

I think it is insulting to the real actors (Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Leonardo DiCaprio, ect)

To even call him one.

Please be honest, and try not to be bias...

Honestly I hear people calling him The King of Pop or The King. His career was in music..was the music that he definitely changed..but I think he's a great actor too!! He acted not only in 3 or 4 movies, but in so many of his videos (Thriller, Ghosts, Bad, Remember the time...) He was the first musician that made a short movie as a videoclip. Back to your question.. he's acting a lot in his videos but I don't call him an actor but the greatest and the most complete musician that world has ever seen!!!

Maybe I'm taking it presonally cuz I am an actor.. But idk.. I just don;t get why he is considered an actor when he hasn't really done any movies.. :P

One movie doesn't make you an actor... Johnny Depp sang in some movies, but he isn't a singer...

true, but don't worry about it, and yes he did do some acting in his music vids i think thats why people call him an actor. its really not worth the fuss over and thats great that ur an actor :)

Well..I think some people also call him an actor,because he really was a great actor and he had his own creations even during All of thoes great movies that he done :)♥ well I mostly consider him as a singer but,he was a great actor too :)♥ and he really should have played in more movies but..he didn't pushed himself so further,and I respect him and I respect his desizions :).....♥

In a way I think he was an actor, just look at all his music videos. In fact once he came out with Thriller no one labelled his music videos a music video, they labelled them short films. He was no Brando but he was quite a good actor from what I have seen from his music videos with dialogue like Thriller and Bad. He was a performer and somewhat of a genius who could master many things after a few goes so I have no doubt in my mind that he was an actor and a good one at that.
