why do people call michael jackson OVERRATED?

I agree... I wouldn't consider them haters (depends on what else they say) but if they say he's overrated, I believe they just don't know anything other than his music/entertainment career. Michael is great just like we as his fans say he is, he's even better, there's no denying it. If he's anything he's UNDERRATED! People don't credit him for his philanthropy and humanitarian work, the millions he has donated to charities, the hours he's spend visiting sick kids in hospitals, the lives he's saved... They think he's a singer who did Thriller and that's it. He's much more than his music and dance moves, but since the media seems to block out everything good he's done, no one gets to see how he put his heart in everything he did, and that he was a truly loving person... and he deserves every amount of credit we give him

i think that they are haters because they dont know what they are talking about at all and i dont know why they call him names for that's mean when they do that and wrong

I don't know what they talking about but maybe some are haters and some are saying their opinion but I don't know what they have in mind but that's them

well i have 2 agree with cause ppl have control there '5 deadly sins' but lately even through MJ is dead they still called him mean things.

People missunderstood Michael so much..that's cuz they never opend their heart and let them see the true Michael,he was not any of thoes mean things..not at All and he defintly was not underrated..He was just diffirente from other people,people don't Love him just because of his music,his dance his creations,..etc. but..people also Love him because he truly had a heart of Jesus and God,I admire him so much because he worked hard All of his life..to make this world a better place,to bring some Love and joy into people's life,to see All the people (especialy children) with thoes big smiles on their faces..and I could say even MORE GREAT THINGS that he done for everybody on this planet♥..and he did All this..he worked hard even when he was truly tierd..If he was really so mean or Bad like people say..Why in the world would he give so much money to people and poor children? Because he didn't tried to get fameous by the media but because he wanted to do something good in his life,because he truly sufferd too much pain that he never ever deserved it..Nobody deserves a pain like that..haters re just people who are jelaous of his inside and outside beauty,because he knew wt TRUE Love is..I'm an MJ fan and I'm so so proud to be one..I will Never be afraid to say it..God bless you Michael..We Love you♥♥ L.O.V.E. I don't know...but what I do know is that people love to call Michael things that he's not!

I DO think he is overrated.

I am a big fan, and I really do love him..

But he is overrated.

He wasn't overrated when he was in his prime..

But after his death, he has become extremely overrated.

I still love him and most of his music. So, no. I'm not a hater. It's just honest opinion.
