yes i think that jo definetly was he didn'rt want mj to have friends incase the friends helped him get out from under his fathers control. That was the same with quincy jones jo was like michael isnt good enough to do a solo record he should just do it wioth his brothers and quincy jones was like no he should do a solo record he could be a star so jo was jelous of mj and quincy being friends as well
