Why did MJ wear them band things on his sleeve? Like in the Smooth Criminal video?

I think the trademark arm-band that Michael wears is a symbol of the suffering of children around the world.

It is for all the children suffering in the world. His CTE shirts stand for CHILDREN OF THE EARTH!! They are his own special design and the band in the sleeve of most of his clothes is his own design. Such a caring genius of a man

The children around the world who died or who are crying or who are in pain. Micahel loved kids. He cared about them and wore these every time he could. He thought of children everytime. And wanted the rest of the world to do the same thing.

Like the white bandaged fingers i think that it was a way that he expressed his personality. i think it looks pretty cool!!!!
