NOTE: The following story was written exclusively in honor of my birthday and has no close connection with my other fanfiction on here, "Mew Mew Power: A New Generation". Please enjoy the story. :3

The peace within the city was utterly interrupted by the sounds of constant crashing and roaring. A very large, monster-like creature was attacking something. While that certain something wasn’t visible through the chaos it became obvious that whatever it was attacking was a nescience.

When the smoke cleared, it was revealed what the monster was attacking. A young girl who wore a bright, pink colored outfit and had the ears and tail of a cat stood still as she looked at the creature. This was Mew Zoey, one of the five Mew Mews. The others, Corina, Bridget, Kikki, and Renee stood back as they watched. “Okay guys! I’m going to finish it off!” She shouted. “Look out!” Mew Corina shouted. In an instant, the monster tried pummeling her with its large fists. Mew Zoey however managed to avoid getting pummeled as she performed an amazing back flip in the air. She quickly landed on the ground and looked back at the monster.

“This Predasite is tough to beat,” She said as she catched her breath. “It’s time to call forces.” She turned to the other girls and gave them a little nod. They understood the signal and worked together to unleash a signal into the sky. This signal meant something to them, but it wasn’t known yet. Even the Predasite watched with confusion. In a matter of minutes however, a very large bird circled passed by a large building and flew its way to the area. When it got close, it swooped on the Predasite before retreating back into the air. The Mew Mews watched as the bird performed the attack. “Good work Kasey!” Everyone shouted.

Indeed the bird was Kasey, the greatest super hero known throughout the world. He was working with the five girls to protect the Earth from the evil forces of the Cyniclons, a race of aliens. The Predasite was knocked out from the impact, but it wasn’t effective and quickly rose back up. Everyone turned in shock. “It’s getting back up!” Mew Bridget exclaimed. “We need to do a team attack now!” Mew Corina added. They agreed and performed their attacks together. Mew Corina used her Heart Arrow, Mew Bridget used her Deep Surge Attack, Mew Kikki used her two weapons to perform an ultimate attack, and Mew Renee used her Purple Dagger to strike. All that was left was Mew Zoey, who used her Strawberry Bell to not only defeat the monster but cause the Infusor to show itself.

After this, a tiny, fuzzy thing with a short tail and a pair of wings flew up and opened its mouth, eating the jelly-like thing. This little guy is Mini Mew and he is known for traveling with the girls to not only detect the presence of Predasites and the Cyniclons but to also eat the Infusors after being broken from the host.

Peace once again returned to the city. On the top of the building where the battle took place, Mew Zoey and the others were now standing by the ledge. They were waiting for Kasey to return. He eventually came back and after landing properly, he walked to them with his bird-like legs. He was Argentavis, the largest prehistoric bird. “Good job you guys.” He said as he looked down at them. “We couldn’t have done it without you of course.” Mew Zoey said as she laughed.

A while later, the girls and Kasey were seen at Café Mew Mew, the place where they not only work but where their base is. Elliot and Wesley are not only the owners, but the founders of the Mew Project. “Great work you guys did.” Wesley said as he smiled. Everyone was happy by the success of their mission.

As everyone was leaving the café, Wesley whispered for Kasey to come with him. They were walking within the café halls until they were sure no one was in sight. “By the way Kasey, I know your birthday is this week. Would you like for us to plan you a surprise party?” He stared at him with shock. “Y-You know my birthday?” Wesley chuckled as he respond, “But of course I do. It’s on the calendar after all.” He never imagined Wesley would keep track of everyone’s birthdays. “Well, I don’t know. I mean, I don’t want to put you all in any sort of trouble just for me.” “But we really want to do this for you,” Wesley said. “You have done a whole lot for us. Not just for Elliot and I but for the girls. We owe you a lot than you think.”

He never thought of that but it was true that he had done a lot for the Mew Project and the café. “Well, I guess I don’t see the harm then. Just don’t go overboard okay?” Wesley smiled as he nodded. “I promise it won’t be too much.” Before Kasey walked away, he had something to ask. “How are you going to inform the others about this?” Wesley turned to him and smiled as he winked. “Just leave it to me.” Kasey’s reaction was filled with confusion but he didn’t want to question Wesley’s ethics and just left it alone.

Later on, Kasey and Zoey were in her room. She was doing her homework while Kasey was reading a book on her bed. Everything was quite until Zoey decided to take a break for the night. “So, what do you want to do tomorrow?” She asked as she sat next to him on her bed. Kasey closed the book quickly as he turned to face her. “What do you mean?” He asked. Her reaction was changed to confusion. “Tomorrow is the start of the weekend Kasey. So I am asking you what you would like to do tomorrow.” It took him a while to finally remember what tomorrow was. “Oh right! Tomorrow’s Saturday. Well, what would you like to do Zoey?”

She laughed a little. “It’s not up to me,” She said as she stopped laughing. “It’s up to you. I did ask you after all.” The situation became a little complex for them to figure out. They would eventually come up with something in the morning.

When morning did arrive, Zoey was the first to wake up. She yawned as her eyes adjusted to the beam of the sunlight. “What a night..” She moaned. Before getting out of bed she then noticed Kasey, who was a fossa curled up at the end of the bed. She couldn’t help but smiled a little at the cuteness.

Later in the afternoon, Zoey was dressed up. Kasey meanwhile was also ready. “I guess going for a walk in the park should be nice.” Zoey said as she looked down at him and smiled. He couldn’t help but agree. They were then seen walking down the block together and headed for the park.

It was not very crowded as they were lucky to arrive before the busiest hours of the day. Zoey and Kasey sat on a park bench as they enjoyed the sights and sounds of the area. “This is nice Kasey.” Zoey sighed as both of her eyes were closed. He didn’t respond as his eyes were already shut. In fact, he was pretty much passed out from the peace and tranquility of the atmosphere. When she didn’t hear anything, she started getting worried. “Everything okay?” She asked as she turned her head to him. When she realized what he was doing, she couldn’t help but giggled. “You’re just too much you know?”

Indeed the peacefulness of the park was very soothing. However, that moment came to a quick end when a high-pitched voice was heard from a distance. “Hey!!!” It shouted. Both Zoey and Kasey quickly jumped with surprise. As they turned however they both sighed when they realized it was only Kikki. She wasn’t alone as Bridget and Corina were also there. “What are you guys doing out here?” Zoey asked. “We all came to look for you,” Bridget respond. “Elliot told all of us to meet at the café a while ago.” “And yet someone didn’t show up.” Corina scoffed. Zoey, understanding her mocking skills, felt upset. “Well then whose fault was it that I wasn’t informed??” She asked as she got close to Corina’s left ear. Corina pressed her left hand against Zoey’s face and gently pushed it a few feet away. “You should know not to talk to a person that way Zoey.” She said.

As they were arguing, Kikki and Bridget walked to Kasey and decided to talk with him for a while. “How are you doing?” Bridget asked as she smiled. “I’m doing just fine,” He respond. “But what is so important that ya’ll need to head down to the café anyway?” Both girls then looked at each other as their expressions were a little blank. They were sworn to never share anything with him. Instead of telling the truth, they decided to fibble a little. “We just need to have a meeting that’s all.” Kikki explained. Although it was a lie, Kasey believed it. “But is it really that important?” They once again stared at each other.

About a minute later, everything was settled between Zoey and Corina. “I’m really sorry for having to do this Kasey. I hope you can forgive me.” Zoey said as her face was filled with shame. He smiled as he stared at her. “There’s no reason for you to feel sorry,” He said. “Besides it comes with the package right? Being a super hero has its priorities. Nothing we can control.” While surprised by his speech, she couldn’t help but feel guilty. Corina and the others were getting impatient. “Let’s get going Zoey!” Corina shouted. She turned to them and said she would be right there. After giving a little hug, she ran off while he remained standing in the park.

Eventually, the girls made it to the café. Renee was the only girl there as she arrived not long ago. After everyone made it in they just stood there, waiting for instructions. “Why exactly are we here?” Zoey asked. Corina sighed with annoyance as she said there was no given explanation yet. “I’m assuming its important business,” She went on. “But to be honest it is rather awkward.” They ended up standing for a good moment until both Elliot and Wesley arrived.

“Would you kindly tell us why we are here?” Zoey asked as a look of annoyance filled her face. Elliot sighed and told her to be quite. “Wesley will explain everything. Just listen.” Doing the honors, Wesley managed to explain everything to them. He explained about Kasey’s birthday being around the corner and the plan to pull a big surprise party that would soon be in session. As he was explaining the girl’s reactions were filled with surprise. “I had no idea his birthday was even near,” Bridget exclaimed. “Now I feel terrible.” “We all do,” Zoey added. “But I think this idea is great. We will pitch together and pull him the greatest party he’s ever experienced. But then- when is his birthday?” Wesley managed to answer the question. “It’s only a day from today,” He respond. “So we need to start working.” Corina then had a question. “But if his birthday is tomorrow, then it wouldn’t make sense to do this all today right?”

While her question was accurate, there was no right way to answer. The only thing Wesley could respond was that they needed to do it today. “It may seem odd at first, but think about Kasey for a minute. He’s done everything for us all. He’s always risking his life just to protect you all. He even takes part of your acts Kikki. And on top of that, he’s the reason we are all together right now. Face it- he gives us a lot more than just power.” What he said really put a shine on everyone. Except Elliot of course, for he was always the serious type. “Gosh! I never imagined it like that.” Kikki said as she looked down a little with sadness. “Now I do feel terrible..” Bridget sighed with sadness. Even Corina and Renee felt bad. Zoey, while feeling the same way, felt a tad different. Instead of sadness her mind was filled with determination. “That does it,” She said as her face was shown. “We are not just going to stand here and feel blue. We’ve got a party to be prepared for, so let’s do this everyone!!!” They all cheered for her, except Elliot who was still leaning against the wall not far from them. “Then hop to it.” He scoffed.

Within minutes, everyone was hard at work and the café was slowly transformed into a party house. Bridget and Kikki were busy hanging the wall decorations. “Hey Bridget,” Kikki said as she handed her another wall decoration. “There’s something that crossed my mind just now.” Interested, Bridget asked what it was. “Well, I realized that we don’t know how old Kasey is. So how old do you think he is?” Bridget remained quite for a good second. Kikki found it a little odd and really wanted her opinion. No matter how she tried she couldn’t get an answer. “Kikki, asking such a question can be very deceitful. Maybe the reason we don’t know about his age is because he feels uncomfortable expressing it to us. Personally I agree with him.” In her mind, Kikki was lost with thoughts. Bridget’s words were just too much for her to process. “Could you please explain it to me so that I can understand?” She asked. She understood and was able to do so. “So, I shouldn’t even ask him?” Kikki asked. “Yes,” Bridget respond as she nodded. “Because it’s not nice asking people how old they are. Unless they really want to.”

With that conflict being resolved, Corina, Renee, and Zoey were all in the kitchen which was located beyond the main sector. They were busy making a large vanilla ice cream Sunday for Kasey. “He’s going to love this!” Zoey exclaimed as both of her eyes were in the shape of stars. Corina and Renee stood back as they also admired the Sunday. “It’s strange how he only cares for vanilla.” Renee said. While it was strange, it was pretty much the only flavor he enjoyed more than anything. “It may be strange, but at lease it’s his strange.” Zoey said. Corina looked at her confusingly. “What are you talking about?” “Don’t do this Corina!” Zoey shouted. Another argument between the them was starting to at which Renee quickly left the room. “Nutcases.” She sighed.

As the hours flew on, the entire main lobby of the café was converted to a party room. Zoey and the others gazed at the beauty of their hard work. “You guys did great,” Wesley said as he clapped. “Now our next job is to bring Kasey here.” A moment of silence suddenly filled the room. The girls stared at him with blank expressions. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “Um, bring him here how?” Corina asked. It wasn’t hard to do but there was a problem that was overlooked. Zoey left him in the park earlier and there was no telling where he could’ve been. “I suppose I should go look for him,” Zoey said as she looked down a little and her expression filled with a pinch of sadness. “I did leave him alone after all.” Just then, Renee stepped in front of her as she looked down at her. “Don’t worry Zoey. I will go get him.” Zoey was shocked by what she heard. She eventually changed her reaction to a little smile as she thanked her. “I-I want to go too.” Corina exclaimed. Of course the only reason she wanted to go was because Renee was going. “Okay then,” Wesley said as he smiled. “Renee and Corina will go find Kasey. The rest of us will check on everything. Hurry back.” With the plan now settled, the two girls left while everyone else stood back.

Walking through town, Corina and Renee were on the mission to find Kasey. “He could be anywhere,” Corina scoffed as she stretched both of her arms. “This is going to be difficult.” Renee’s eyes turned to her. “What makes you say that?” “I just mean it’ll be hard to find him,” Corina respond. “Knowing it’s him he could be hiding anywhere and we wouldn’t be able to find him.” While her statement was true Renee was thinking otherwise. “Hard you say? I don’t think so. He can be any animal in the world right? So finding him will be easy. Just trust me.” Corina was moved by her determination and spirit. So moved that stars filled her eyes and her cheeks were red from blush. “Oh Renee! You’re so determined!” She squealed in her mind.

Their search began while exploring around most of the city blocks. They checked in and around dark ally ways, visited the park, and even attempt to stop by a few pet shops in hopes he was mistakenly put in them. No matter where they searched, there was no sign of him at all. After minutes of pointless exploring they decided to take a short break in the park. “It feels like we are on a wild goose chase.” Corina moaned with anger. Renee didn’t have much to complain as she was busy sipping her soda. Corina was too worn out to even think about drinking hers. “Just relax,” Renee said as she looked at her. “We will find him.” As much as her encouragement was Corina just wasn’t in a bind to agree at all.

“We may as well just go back to the café,” She sighed as she got up. “This is pointless and I’m sure he’s already there.” Although she wanted to press on with the search, Renee couldn’t help but agree. After throwing their soda cans in the park’s garbage can they left the park and headed to the café. While they were walking, they happened to encounter a strange bird flying over them and made a landing to a nearby tree. “Say, isn’t that him?” Corina asked as she stared at the bird. While there was no answer Renee nodded. “Hey Kasey,” Corina shouted as she ran to the tree. “Get down here!” The bird, which was revealed to be a Red-Tailed hawk, turned around and looked down at her. It then spread its wings and made a little flight to the ground, landing near in front of her. “What’s with the shouting?” He asked as he looked at her with confusion.

She then argued at him which resulted in a little hurtness in his heart. Renee eventually stepped in and told her to quit. “It’s not his fault,” She said in a serious tone. “Just forget it.” Corina was shocked by her approach, but knowing there was nothing left to say she sighed, crossed her arms, and turned her head to the left as she scoffed. Renee then turned to Kasey and looked down at him. “You need to come with us now. There’s an emergency situation at the café.” By the way she expressed it, Kasey’s reaction was changed to a little panic. “Well let’s go then.” He said.

The fastest way to the café is by usually allowing Kasey to transform into something larger or faster such as elephants and rhinos. Because it would cause some collusions however, there were other solutions as well. After turning into a Pteranodon, he lowered his left wing and allowed the two girls to get on his back. When they were seated he immediately took flight. As a flying reptile, traveling to destinations is faster than running or galloping. After about three minutes of air travel, they made it to the café to at which Kasey quickly transformed into something average such as a llama. Upon opening the doors, Zoey and everyone inside shouted, “Happy Birthday Kasey!!!” to at which Kasey himself had a look of shock on his face.

“What is all of this?” He asked as he looked around. “We all wanted to give you a big surprise birthday party.” Bridget respond. Once again, he was surprised. “But how did you guys know? I mean, I actually thought ya’ll forgot.” Everyone couldn’t help but laugh and giggle. “Of course we didn’t forget,” Zoey said as she continued giggling. “Wesley informed us.” Kasey’s attention then turned to Wesley. He just smiled as he chuckled a bit. Even though it was all a surprise effort, it certainly made his day. “Wow. Just wow. Thank ya’ll so very much. I can’t believe you all went through the trouble in decorating the place just for me.” Everyone stood close to him as they stared at him with smiles. The whole thing just made him blush.

After singing the birthday song and opening a few presents, everyone was ready to eat the delicious cake; while Kasey enjoyed his surprised, vanilla flavored, ice cream Sunday. In order to eat it properly however he had to turn into something that could eat properly without making a mess. Of all the choices he picked, he chose to be a Red-Capped Mangaby monkey. He slowly grabbed his spoon and then put it within the Sunday, licking it off afterwards. Zoey and the others couldn’t help but watch. “He really is happy.” Zoey sighed as she smiled. “It was hard finding him though,” Corina added. “I was very angry with him because of it. It was like he was sending Renee and me on a wild goose chase.” Everyone turned to her as they just stared. She didn’t find anything wrong with what she said.

Kikki then had something to add. “Well what I am concerned about is his age.” As she was saying this, Bridget then gasped very loudly as she tried to get Kikki to stop. It was too late as everyone then turned their attention to her. “What did I say?” She asked as she looked confusingly. “That never occurred to me,” Corina said. “I wonder how old he really is.” Bridget did what she could to keep their voices down. “Stop! He will hear you!” Zoey started siding with her as well. “Seriously, we need to keep this quite. If he does hear us talking about his age then surly we are all in big trouble.” That moment wasn’t working out too much as he did overhear them. Bridget tried to control herself from screaming, but it didn’t do much and she let out a scream of horror. The others turned and were stunned to see him standing there. All except for Kikki, who was reacting normally. “I thought I told you guys…” He said as he looked at the floor. Zoey quickly stood up. “Kasey, we’re really sorry. But to be fair, it was Kikki who started it all.”

“I don’t want to hear anymore,” He said as he slowly walked passed them. “I thought I could trust you guys to leave this alone, but apparently I can’t. Good bye.” With that said, he quickly transformed into a Harpy eagle, flapped his wings, and flew out of the café through the main doors. Zoey did what she could to stop him but it was far too late. Everyone else remained still. After standing near the doors for a few seconds, Zoey slowly turned as her face wasn’t visible. “Are you alright?” Bridget asked with concern. Then, surly enough, Zoey’s expression was viewable. She was clearly mad. “How could you do this?!” She screamed angrily. Everyone pretty much stood back as she yelled. “Get over yourself Zoey!” Corina shouted. “This isn’t “our” fault. Why yell at us?” Zoey eventually calmed down a little. “You’re right, I’m sorry. If anyone should be blamed it’s Kikki but pointing fingers isn’t going to solve anything.” “So what should we do?” Bridget asked.

Before she could respond, Elliot and Wesley entered. “Where’s Kasey?” Elliot asked as he looked around. “He ran away.” Zoey said as she looked down a little. Their faces were changed to shock. “What happened?” Wesley asked. She was able to explain. “I see,” He said as his left knuckles were pressed against his chin. “That must be extreme to talk about. I knew he kept it a secret but I wouldn’t expect him to be so furious about it. Do you know where he ran off to?” “Not really,” Zoey respond. “But I’m guessing he could be anywhere by now.” The party ended in a drastic turn but wasn’t going to be this way forever. “Well, if it’s you all that caused this you have to go and apologize to him.” Everyone gasped as they stared at him. “Why all of us?!” Corina asked. “As far as I’m concerned, I didn’t do anything. Kikki’s the one that should do this.” An argument soon started between everyone except Renee, who was standing there and watching the debating. It didn’t last long when Elliot whistled loudly. “This is insane! Sense all of you are fighting over this, it’s up to you to find and apologize to him alright? I don’t want any excuses.” Everyone’s mouths were dropped opened except for Renee’s.

After they left the building, the girls stood by the street. Their reactions were basically the same. “I still can’t believe we have to do this,” Corina scoffed. “Clearly Kikki, you’re the one who has to find him.” “Why are you being so mean?!” She asked as she stared at her with sadness. “I was just curious about how old he was that’s all.” Zoey eventually prevented another argument from happening. “Listen guys, I know we all don’t want to do this but think about our friend for a second. He’s hurt right now and we all need to pitch in and help. Don’t you guys get it? Yes it was our fault for bragging about his age but it was just an accident okay?” Everyone was moved by what she said. Everyone except Corina. “Seriously?” She scoffed. “You think you’re so moved, but you’re really dumber than ever.” Zoey gasped by her words. “What did you say??!” It was then Renee’s turn to step in. “Knock it off,” She said as she stared down at them. “We need less arguing and more concentration.”

As they were on the move, Kasey, who was still an eagle, was perched on a large, wide stick that was standing on the ground. His expression clearly showed sadness. “Why must they ask about my age?” He said in his mind. “I just don’t like revealing it. Is that so hard to understand?” No matter how much he tried, he wasn’t happy.

The situation however would soon turn for the worse when Kasey suddenly felt a strong force in the area. He used his senses to detect the presence of whatever caused it, but he was picking nothing. He at first believed it was just a fluke but then the ground started shaking violently as a very large, green plant-like monster emerged from the ground. Kasey did what he could to keep himself from falling on the post, using the sharp talons on both his feet to grip the wood. When the shaking stopped a loud roar was then followed which echoed through most of the area. It became clear that Kasey was now in for it as he came face to face with a plant Predasite.

“It’s a Predasite!” He exclaimed in his mind. “That must mean Dren and the others are here. Won’t I ever catch a break?” Sure enough, he was right. Dren, Sardon, and Tarb all appeared as they were floating in the air. “Look what we have here,” Dren said as he grinned. “It’s none other than the “beast”. And yet his allies are nowhere near. Too bad indeed.” Kasey growled as he stared at them with his eagle-like eyes. “Knock it off Dren! How did you guys even know I was here?” Tarb started chuckling a little. “Like you really want to know! Listen, we are the Cyniclons alright? We are smarter than you or any of those girls combined! We know where you go and we know what you are planning.” He took things a tad far which is why Sardon ordered him to stop.

“Let’s just cut to the chase,” Dren said as he turned his head back to Kasey. “We know what has been going on with you and we want to seize this chance to take you down. And if you are lucky enough, your friends may even witness this historical event.” Kasey’s anger eventually got the best of him. “Stop it!!! I will not be played by you or your gigs Dren! If you want to fight, than let’s get it over with already.” Dren, as well as Sardon and Tarb were impressed by his attitude. “Okay then,” Dren said as he smiled slightly. “The beast has spoken. Now go my Predasite!” Kasey gasped after what he said. In due time, the monster plant gave a roar as it used its long vines to pursue him. Little did the Predasite realize that as an eagle he had the highest advantage when it came to maneuvering incoming, projectile attacks. He used his wings to quickly fly pass the vines and managed to hide within the forest. Dren and the others watched. “Tsk! Tsk!” Dren said as he shook his head a little. “When will you ever learn? You can run from us but you’re better off without hiding.”

As Kasey was facing against the Cyniclons, Zoey and the others continued their big search. They had explored most of the city but were unable to find him. “It’s hopeless this time Zoey,” Bridget sighed. “He’s probably somewhere far away.” While that may have been true, there was no way he could’ve gone far- especially sense he was part of the team. “Let’s not jump to that Bridget,” Zoey exclaimed. “If I know him there is no way he would resign from being with us. That’s just hard to believe.” Just then, Mini Mew quickly took flight and exclaimed that a Predasite was nearby. Everyone looked up to him with concern. “A Predasite nearby. But how can that be?” Corina asked. Zoey then gasped. “Kasey!” Everyone then turned to her, with their reactions about the same as she had. “The Cyniclons must’ve found him!” Bridget exclaimed. “We don’t have much time then,” Renee added. “We better find him and quick.” In agreement, the girls quickly turned and headed to the direction.

Kasey was still safe. He was hidden somewhere within the forest. The darkness helped him blend in. “Phew!” He said quietly. “That was a close call. But I still can’t believe they are really here. And I wonder where the girls are when I need them.” He then remembered the events that happened at the café and remembering made him feel a little sad. “That’s right,” He said as he looked down a little. “I was mad at them for that silly thing. I don’t know why I can’t just come out and tell them. It’s just hard.” Then, the peace of the forest ended when the sounds of trees moving about filled the area. Kasey knew this was a chance to make a move and after flapping his wings for a moment, he took flight once again.

Back at the open, Dren, Sardon, and Tarb were still floating as they watched the Predasite continued its doing. “I don’t see why we can’t just go in there and get him ourselves.” Tarb moaned. “Patience is a requirement,” Sardon exclaimed as he looked down at him. “So we cannot do anything at this time.” What Tarb said however got Dren into thinking. “You know, the way I’m thinking now I don’t see how that can be bad. We are obviously having no luck at all and we can go through the forest without mercy.” Sardon and Tarb stared at him with confusion and surprise. “Are you saying you want to go for it? That’s just taking it too far.” Sardon said. “I do realize that,” Dren said. “But our Predasite isn’t having any luck and why wait when we can go for it right now?” What he said did make sense in Sardon’s case.

Deep within the forest, Kasey continued flying as fast as he could while the raging, elongating plant vines continued stretching distance to distance. Eventually Kasey made it to a clear opening within the surrounding forest and started getting weak from flying too long. The vines were still hot on his trail however and he knew he was defenseless. When they were seen heading towards him, he quickly transformed into a black bear and attacked the vines. He was only able to attack for a moment when a pair of vines wrapped around his body and lifted him up high a little as he tried to struggle. Another vine started wrapping around his neck, but didn’t tighten so that he choke.

The Predasite finally had its chance to get a hold of him. No matter how hard he tried, the strength of the vines were so strong that they wouldn’t budge. Kasey was completely hopeless at this point. Suddenly, Dren, Sardon, and Tarb all appeared. Their attentions were drawn to him. “We’ve finally caught him!” Tarb exclaimed happily. “Control your excitement Tarb,” Sardon exclaimed rudely. “We are Cyniclons not goof balls. We need to take this seriously.” His attention was then to Dren. “What do you propose we do with him?” “Let’s just stand back and watch him suffer,” Dren respond as his eyes were barely closed and a grin filled his face. “After everything he put us through its high time we deserve ourselves the chance to see his fate.” Sardon was surprised by what was heard. He never expected Dren to be so cold to someone who wasn’t only a true Mew Mew, but would want to see the pain and suffering from an Earthling.

The vines continued to tighten Kasey up. The one that was wrapped around his neck started getting tighter second after second. He was close to be choked when a familiar sound filled the area. “Let him go!” It shouted. All three of the Cyniclons, plus the Predasite turned to the right as five girls, who were already transformed, quickly arrived. Their presence caused the Predasite to unwind Kasey. When he was free, Kasey fell to the ground hard and was passed out completely. The Mew Mews made their way to him. “Kasey! Get up! We need you!” Mew Bridget exclaimed. No matter how many times they shouted or how they tried to nudge, he wouldn’t wake up. “He’s not dead,” Mew Zoey said as she got back up. “So that’s good. But right now, we have got something big to take care of.” She turned and looked up at the monstrous Predasite.

“How fancy to see you here my little kitty.” Dren chuckled. Mew Zoey realized that Dren, Sardon, and Tarb were there as she stared at them with anger. “You guys just can’t take a break can you?! For what you did to our friend, you will pay this time!” Dren wasn’t at all concerned. In fact, he played as cool as always. “I would like to see you try.” He chuckled. The Predasite then started attacking her to at which she dodged and maneuvered. The other four Mew Mews meanwhile stood back as they were not only close to Kasey, but were also watching her.

After several failed attempts, the plant Predasite started loosing its confidence. This gave Mew Zoey the chance to perform her special attack which caused the Infusor to be exposed and was soon eaten by Mini Mew. Dren, Sardon, and Tarb meanwhile were a little surprised by what happened. It was to be expected however and they quickly disappeared, eventually facing against them another time.

A little while later, the girls returned to their normal forms and were still hanging around, waiting for their friend to wake up. He soon opened his eyes and slowly but surly rose up. Everyone was delighted to see him well. “How did you guys find me?” He asked. Instead of giving an answer, they just smiled. He eventually realized that it was their good heart and friendship that lead to his rescue.

In the café, Kasey’s big party continued. As he was enjoying himself, Kikki approached. “Kasey, I want to say that I am very, very, very, very sorry for what I said earlier. Do you think you can forgive little ol’ me?” He stared at her as he gave a little smile and nudged her gently. “Of course I do,” He respond. “Besides, how can I turn my own partner down?” He was of course referring to the fact that during work, he and Kikki worked together to entertain and amuse costumers. With a big smile and hug, she felt better. Everyone else also felt better, knowing that peace not only returned but that their good friend and partner was better as well.

On the following morning, Kasey’s “real” birthday arrived. When he woke up he noticed something sitting on Zoey’s dresser. It was a mysterious box that was covered with wrapping paper. A large bow also stood on the top. He slowly approached the dresser and quickly jumped to the top. He observed it carefully and noticed a tag on the left. He managed to read it, which said it was to him from Zoey and had a cute little birthday doodle on the bottom. He smiled and then started tearing the wrapping paper. Upon opening the top the box, a look of surprise filled his face. What he discovered inside was a picture frame that said “Best Friends” and a recent picture of both Zoey and Kasey together was in the center.
