How do mermaids have babies??

This is how the real way mermaids are born.

1.The mother mermaid has a sore tummy
2. Then the mermaid mothers tummy is bubbling and a hole appears in the tummy
3. The baby mermaid comes out with a scream and bubble around it.
4. The hole replaces itself back all together with a cleaner circle.
5. Than the mother mermaid opens the bubble and the father merman puts the bubble in a safe place which turns out where the baby mermaid sleeps.

I have found a mermaid at the beach in the deep water borning a baby and that was the way mermaid babies were born.

I know how to explain this

1. Some mermaids do have holes similer to other fish, same with mermen.

2.Some mermaids have butts as you can see in somepaintings which also means they have a vaginal part in the front, same with mermen who possibly have a reproduct part in the front.

Either one of those explainmations work but they rely on what breed of merperson.

Ever since i saw The Little Mermaid by disney, and since i understood the facts of life i have wanted to know that.
My ideas
. They do *it* like seals, which , by the way, i have no idea how they do it

. they pull out a males hair and a females hair and put it in a jar and *boom smoke ka-pow* kinda thing and there is a baby!

I always imagined that mermaids lay these transparent-like eggs where you can see the baby develop in stages much like a human child. I think there's a painting of it somewhere.

My friend has a theorfy that mermaids conceive babies like humans and carry them and when they have to have the baby their tail temporarily turns into legs so they can give birth

I think they sing with their instruments they made from the bones of men. Then they lay a blue egg or eggs and in a couple weeks, you see a mermaid inside. In one month, they hatch. Eventually they have to set the baby free.

See-through and are one inch long and usually they lay ten. My opinion: they are both very cool.

Okay, I have three theories:

1) They go on land and transform into a human. They find a boy that catches their fancy, do you-know-what, and go back to the sea, pregnant.
2) For mermaids and mermen they have a hard-to-see pocket that brings out their...special parts when they are aroused. And they do it like mammals do.
3) Same way fish do: Male squirts their stuff,and it finds their way into a female eventually.

They give birth like mammals, and can carry up to 6 babies, like humans, however holding more than 4 babies for mermaids is very rare.(octo mom does not count, she had the babies surgically put in her. That's what I heard.)

My theory is that mer-babies the same way baby whales are born

The color of the mermaids tail determines the color of the eggs. Also, if the mermaid nests in a cooler climate she will hatch out males. If it's a warmer climate, they will be all girls. Mermaids have been known to have two nests at once. One in a cool area of the ocean and one in a warm area. The eggs are about the size of a cantaloupe. Also she can tell if she is going to have twins by holding the egg up to the light of the moon 3 days after she lays it. If it has 2 yolks, that means twins! But it's very rare for twins to grow to full term since the egg isn't big enough for both of them. When this happens, the egg gets placed in Poseidon's Merchildren's Hospital's  unit where they have special incubators made from clam shells. Also, the mermaids lay the eggs, but the mermen are in charge of incubating and protecting them. Once they hatch, they breastfeed until they cut their first teeth. Then the mother feeds them a mixture of pureed plankton and seaweed I KNOW BECAUSE I AM A MERMAID.

My favorite theory is that the male ejaculates into the female who later stays pregnant for who-the-f***-knows period of time (most likely 10 months). When the baby is released, it comes out as an egg, later to hatch into a baby.

Well, I have always heard, as in seeing it on tv or read it in a book, that mermaids turn human on land. Perhaps they go on land to give birth? Or they could be like other aquatic mammals and give live birth. They are half human, it may be different. This all depends on if they are actually real or not in the first place!

There is an almost invisible ''slit'' in the top front portion of the scaled tail, about 10 inches down from the mermaids navel. It can not normally be seen unless under special circumstances. This opening serves it's purpose for conception and birth.
