CELEBRITY JUDGES; PRIZES INCLUDING A 2020 SEASON PASS FOR TWO TO RAVINIA
On August 9, Ravinia will show the classic film On the Waterfront, for which Marlon Brando won his first Academy Award, with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Leonard Bernstein's Oscar-nominated score live to the film.
As a special homage to the legend himself, Ravinia will host a Marlon Brando impersonation contest prior to the performance and offer free admission for the approved contestant and one (1) guest.
Celebrity judges include actress/comedian/writer Amy Young from Second City; Kathryn M. Lipuma, Executive Director of the acclaimed Writers Theatre; and Joe Cicero, Star 105.5 morning-drive host. They will look for originality, timing, and accuracy and categories will include humorous/parody and straight acting. Costumes are optional.
Contestants must arrive no later than 6:45 p.m. Aug. 9. Judging will go from 7 to 7:30 p.m. on the stage in front of the big screen. Prizes announced at 7:45 p.m. Film/concert begins at 8 p.m.
Prizes will include special and rare Brando merchandise and collections, as well as Ravinia prizes and tickets.
Contest entry closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
