The Ultimate of Mario and Sonic Questions; Sonic vs Mario. Who would win in a battle to the death?

If you think about it, it all depends on what each fighter has in his arsenal, Mario has all his power-ups and the Power Star, while Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds and Power Rings. Sonic is severely limited on abilities, but if you have superspeed and powers like a Super Sayian, it wouldn't really matter. Mario, on the other hand, has so many abilities it's starting to get real annoying. On the bright side, his abilities could help him out of almost any situation, possibly even a suped-up hedgehog! It would be a long and bloody battle, but in the end, I believe that Mario would come on top... but just barely, and possibly with some permanate body damage! Forgive me for those who like Sonic more than Mario!

Well,The invincability star make mario invinceable,but the power stars are diffrent.the have the power to change reality(as proven by many mario games)although the chaos emeralds make sonic super sonic...hmmm...ify question,I suppose sonic would win.But I should lay down an intresting trivia fact:Regular sonic CAN'T swim,while regular mario CAN!
