These videos I create actually takes place before these orphans were adopted, it's just that Gru and his minions are guest stars including Dr. Nefario, Vector, or any other character from Despicable Me. The reason why they're always hanging about with the minions are because the minions mischievously wander off to find Margo, Edith and Agnes and join their adventures.

Or it could take place after they were adopted, you see that banner above? It could be Gru's mom telling them the stories so the videos could take place inside the stories that Gru's mom is reading to the orphans and including them inside.
