after a second he came up with a plan that if he drowned himself maybe he could respawn somewhere else. as he ran for the laundry pool something non normal happened. before he reached the pool link started to grab his head as if he was going insane and the screen flashed for a moment.of the happy mask salesman smiling. and all he could hear was skull kids laugh in the background. and when the screen returned he was staring at the link statue that appears when you play the elegy of emptyness (which even in the original game the statue looks SUPER CREEPY) as the player tried to run away it seemed...
