Luke Damon Goss was born at 6:15 PM in London on September 29, 1968 eleven minutes before his twin brother Matt Goss. At age twelve Luke was given a drum set from his mom & step dad and a musician was born. In high school Luke started his own band and introduced his brother Matt into the music world. Luke, Matt and a school friend made up Bros in 1986. The Bros had 13 hit singles and 3 hit albums. As part of the pop duo Bros, Luke received the Brit award for best newcomer. He also played New York's Madison square Garden , filled Wembley Arena 10 times and sold out Wembley Stadium to a capacity audience of 68,000 people. He has completed 2 world tours, released 13 hit singles, 3 albums and the video of the album 'The Big Push' sold 250,000 copies which was a record at the time. Before their career took off Luke had met a young singer named Shirley Fredrick's born in 1960. Shirley’s sister Dee was already in the business and had changed her name to Lewis, Shirley did the same. Shirley had a young daughter Carli from a previous relationship. Luke and Shirley have been together ever since, marrying in ‘94. After Bros split up in '91 Matt went to Los Angeles & Luke continued his music career with Band of Thieves band. In 1993 Luke wrote his autobiography "I Owe You Nothing" it stayed several weeks on the top 10 best sellers and went into 3 reprints, it is know out of print, the only way to find it is on eBay. He then decided to pursue his acting ambitions. After many offers Luke accepted the lead role in the musical play 'Plan 9 From Outer Space', based on an Ed Wood screenplay. British entertainment magazine Empire said 'His move is a shrewd one'. In Feb 1997 he starred in the touring musical 'What A Feeling', which played to full houses all over the UK. After enjoying his performance at London's Palladium Theatre, The producers of the smash hit musical 'Grease' offered Luke the starring role as Danny in the West End production. After a huge success in London, he went on to front the touring show, which was voted the most successful British tour two years in a row. Luke has also presented his own shows on MTV, VH1, interviewed Michael Caine for an American TV network, recorded radio plays for the BBC, as well as being the face of Hyundai Cars for their TV advertising campaign. In 2000 Luke was cast as Nomak in Blade II and has done over 20 movies since. He has stared next to Wesley Snipes, Samuel L. Jackson, Eugene Levy, Omar Sharif, Lance Henriksen, Michael Madsen, John Leguizamo, Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Steven Berkoff, Ron Pearlman, Selma Blair and many more. In August 2008 Luke appeared in another block buster movie directed by Guillermo Del Toro (Blade II) Hellboy II portraying prince Nuada. Even thou it’s a fictional character Luke’s portrayal of Nuada was so good that it brought Nuada his own fan base who call themselves ELF. In early 2009 Nuada’s fans started an online petition asking for a movie about Nuada’s life. Luke ‘s new projects include Deep Winter (currently on DVD) with Michael Madsen, Tekken (based on a video game), Doomsday and El Dorado ( with Shane West)
