Lucas had been pretending to re-stock the hospital vending machine for 3 hours, but he was yet to see Lisa. He decided to pack up his stuff and look for another vending machine to pretend to re-fill.
He bent down to pick up the box of chocolate bars, when suddenly a pair of sturdy yet sexy heels entered his vision.
“Hello.” Said Lisa.
“Uh... Hi!” Said Lucas, trying to hide the panic in his voice.
“Have you been stalking me?” Asked Lisa, in a direct and matter-of-fact tone.
Knowing he can’t lie to save himself, Lucas replied, “Yes.”
Lisa was taken aback by his honesty. She gathered her thoughts.
“Why?”
“You are a smart, successful, sexy woman. Why wouldn’t I stalk you?”
Lisa couldn’t help but giggle. He was charming, in a goofy way.
“Why didn’t you just ask me out?” Asked Lisa.
“Ah, because that is the easy way. This is actually all part of my master plan to get you to fall in love with me.”
“Oh really?” Queried Lisa, again feeling herself being charmed by Lucas.
“Nah, not really. I just suck at stalking.” Lucas felt sheepish, but was excited by Lisa’s sweet-natured response to dorky attempt to woo her.
“So, what do we do?” Asked Lucas, fearing her answer.
“Come on. I’ll buy you lunch. You’ve been pretending to re-stock this vending machine for hours. You must be starving.”
Both Lisa and Lucas laughed and made their out of the hospital and off to lunch.
