- This is not what it looks like – Lucas said – I needed a date for the wedding so I invited her, and we were just talking. She has her own room –
The woman looked at Cuddy – Okay –
- Hi – Cuddy approached the woman – Dr. Lisa Cuddy, nice to meet you –
- I’m Jessica Jones –
They shook hands.
- I was about to introduce you – Lucas said – Jess is my girlfriend –
- I got that – Cuddy told him – I’ll go back to my room now, goodnight –

Cuddy was brushing her teeth when she hard a soft knocking. She walked to the connecting door.

Saturday morning and Rachel woke her mom up by poking her face.

Cuddy sighed – Get up –

- Something about my lack of commitment. I guess, we are not in the same page –

- It will be nice – Lucas said – You can leave Rachel at the hotel’s day care, because it’s a day wedding. Party stars at 3 o’clock, we eat, we dance, I do the thing I got to do, and be back by 7 –

Lucas and Cuddy walked into the salon, they skipped the ceremony. White flower arrangements, long tablecloths, champagne fountain.
- So this is how rich people spend their money – Cuddy said.
- Yep – Lucas held Cuddy by the hand – That’s our table –
They sat down. Cuddy looked around. It’s was weird to be in a party where you don’t know anybody and nobody knows you.
- Wait…is that the groom? – Cuddy asked looking at a man.

- He must be like 70 years old –
- 73 – Lucas clarified – And the bride, well, the wife now, is 28 years old. Love has no age –

Another couple sat with them.
- They look lovely, don’t they? – The woman said.
Cuddy nodded.
A waiter served champagne to the table.
- They look so happy too – this time the bold man said. – How did you know them? –
- We just do – Lucas said.
- Are you two married? – The woman inquired this time.
- No – Cuddy answered instantly – Actually, I just left my husband for twenty years, and run away with him – She pointed to Lucas – Mr. Parker here has a larger penis, and well, being honest, he’s the real father of my last kid, but hush or I won’t get the alimony –
Lucas spit his drink. While the couple jaws dropped.
- Well, I suppose that if you love each other – the woman said.
- Cheers for that– Cuddy lift her glass. Lucas barely held his laughter in.

After the bride and groom first dance, the dance floor was opened.
- I’ll be right back – Lucas said to Cuddy. He walked to the bar.
- Vodka tonic, please – He stood next to another guest. – It’s really hot here, isn’t? –
The red haired man looked at Lucas – Whatever – and walked away. Lucas stared at him.
- Here’s your drink sir – the bartender said.
- No, I’m okay – Lucas left without the drink.
Lucas came back to the table.
- are you okay? – Cuddy asked.

- Sure –
Cuddy got up. – My husband never danced with me – she said to the couple on the table before leaving.
- You’re mortifying that poor couple – Lucas told her.
- Come on, it’s funny –
- Yeah it is – They arrived to dancing floor. – Now, let’s shake our booty –
They danced the rest of the party.

- I had fun today – Cuddy kicked off her shoes.
- Me too – Lucas took off his jacket.
They were back in Lucas’ room. Rachel was already asleep in her bed.
- Want to watch a movie? – Lucas turned on the tv – Look, “Fright nights” it’s on. Did you know that the guy that plays Evil Ted became a gay porn star? –

- That’s a way to change your life – They sat on the bed to watch the movie. – I remember watching this with my high school friends –

- My girlfriend left me – Lucas answered – I’m not fine –
- You are on break –
- No, we are not. We want different things and neither of us wants to change –

- Get married –
Cuddy frowned – You don’t want to get married? –
- What? I don’t propose to all my girlfriends –
Cuddy stared at him. She did find him attractive, and he looked really kissable at the moment.
- I’ll better go back to my room now – Cuddy quickly stood up.
- What about the movie? – Lucas tried to stop her.
- I’m not watching the movie anymore. I’m still a little dizzy from the champagne – she smiled to him – If I stay we’ll end up doing something that will only confuse us more –
- You’re right, and I forgot that I have to…- Lucas stopped talking – Good night Lisa –
- Good night –

Sunday morning and Cuddy woke up by yelling next door. She recognized Lucas’ voice. She put a robe on and went to see what was going on the hall.
The police was taking Lucas away.
- Please ma'am, stand back – one of the police men told her.
- Lucas, what’s going on? –
- Nothing, I’m just like their prime suspect in a murder –
