Looks like Lucy Hale added some major length to her hair at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards on August 16. Her long, parted ponytail was right on trend with summer’s slicked back style but made for quite the switch-up from her short lob. Which hair length do you like best?

Lucy Hale, 26, debuted the sneakiest hair makeover we’ve ever seen. The

star has been rocking a choppy lob style for quite awhile now, but went for a lengthier look for the Los Angeles TCAs that we almost missed!

From the front, her slicked back hair looked like it could have just been gelled back into the tiniest bun. But upon closer inspection, Lucy was actually rocking a long ponytail! To get her look on hair that’s already long, blow your hair out straight (use a straightener if you need to), and use a fine-toothed comb and a few drops of Moroccanoil Treatment to smooth hair back and give it shine without the sticky finish of a gel. Once you’ve secured your hair into a ponytail, finish with a light-hold hairspray and add a decorative touch like Kristin did with a colorful leather tie. To match the leather blue tie on her ponytail, Lucy sported a dramatic blue eye makeup look by Kelsey Deenihan that consisted of smokey blue eyeshadow and a vibrant blue cat eye.
