Fanpup says...
I remember visiting this website once...
It was called 'Forbes China' features Luhan as its cover model | allkpop.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
\'Forbes China\' features Luhan as its cover model
We knew how popular Luhan is in China, and this proves it!
Forbes China\', as shown above by the cover photo uploaded on their official Weibo. He looks both cute and dapper in the photo, don\'t you think?
\'Forbes China\' said, "In the past 5 months, Luhan has risen as an up-and-coming force in the Chinese entertainment industry to keep an eye on. He\'s the first person born in 1990 to be on the cover of \'Forbes China\'."
Yoon Mi Rae\'s \'School 2015\' OST song \'I\'ll Listen to What You Have to Say\' tops music charts
Hyosung says she wouldn\'t have a public relationship
Luhan is very handsome. I find it regretful that I became a fan of EXO after he left.
TO ALL HATERS BELOW : HATE EXO ?! I BET U GUYS LOVE TO GAIN ATTENTION , I BET U GUYS HATE KNIFE RIGHT >:D
He can\'t even make it without EXO\'s help
Good he is out of that shitty agency SME. In your face!
No offense but even though LuHan was part of kpop once, he works in China now so I don\'t think that he belongs on allkpop... It makes sense if they\'re talking about the lawsuit but things like this.. No..
Congrats Gege :D (And I\'m not gonna call you oppa cause you are and always will be CHINESE
I\'m just glad he\'s looking so much more healthier now
i know that china is a big market and that he is hot stuff there, but i feel like he got himself confined now to that country, nobody outside is interested in what he does anymore. In Exo he had a little more foreign exposure and versatility. Too bad, cause i always had a feeling he had great potential. But if that is his wish.
You are correct, China is bigger than Korea. LoL Kris has already walked the red carpet together with the A-List of Hollywood at the MetGala. Would he be given half the chance if he\'s a Korean idol? Only Rain was there. The theme of the gala is Chinese. That\'s how worldwide Chinese movies are. Korean is just a speck trying to inch it\'s way into Hollywood. The Chinese are already there years ago.
@crownheiress You\'re right but it seems it\'s harder to become popular in China. If someone wants to be popular in all Asia they better debut as Kpop idol. Korean movies are well known too but in the artistic circles (like Cannes) but idols don\'t star on those
@crownheiress I realizedthat K-nets are just hating on him because he is chinese and leaving exo give more reason to hate on him not only him but all chinese members!! I\'m glad he really did leave!!
@crownheiress I wasn\'t referring strictly to hollywood, i meant the whole rest of the world, starting with the other asian countries. Kris may have been on the red carpet but he is still nobody outside China. Kpop idols have more exposure and are getting more and more popular in the rest of asia countries and advancing their way to the rest of the world.
@Ioana4j If you\'re in Hollywood, that\'s the world on a platter. Who said Kpop idols have more exposure? My sister doesn\'t even know who Rain is and she watches TV everyday but she knows Jet Li and Jacky Chan. LoL Asia is not the world. The dream is Hollywood. Kpop is inching its way... it\'s not even there yet in comparison to the Chinese. You are delusional if you think Kpop is more popular than Chinese. You need to read more to expand your horizons... The only reason Kpop is inching is because the Korean government subsidizes the cost of Hollywood productions that would include Koreans in it. It\'s an incentive offered by the government. Have you ever been outside of your nook? LoL
@Ioana4j it is the very reason why Kpop wants to conquer China. If you\'re popular in China, the possibility of conquering the world is not far behind. Chinese are all over the world. Koreans is just a small minority compared to the Chinese in other countries.
@Ioana4j Do you know who Jacky Chan is? I\'m sorry if I assumed that you do.
@crownheiress What are you talking about, China is the most foreclosed country in Asia. I don\'t know where you get the idea that they are strong in Hollywood or that they are looking to conquer the world, but that is wrong. Luhan is never gonna get famous outside China, because nobody really cares about the entertainment there. And whose dream is Hollywood? The dream of the idols? Last time I checked no. I am European, and I can tell you in the whole wide Europe the only Asian acts people are interested in are Japanese and recently Korean. And yeah whether you like to admit it or not kpop idols are the most popular acts in Asia. they have world wide tours, a chinese artist rarely had that, and large fan bases (largest in Asia). And I am also talking mostly about music, because these guys are musicians, so I don\'t see the connection with hollywood and the dream related to it. And when it comes to music Japan is the second biggest music industry in the world, way more important than China, and the fact that kpop idols are doing good there it\'s huge. And in the end Luhan is more idol type of celebrity, his acting skills leave a lot to be desired. And you are mentioning Jacky Chan, I am sorry but they are famous because of movies produced by the americans, not because of Chinese films. It\'s exactly like Lee Byung-hun who at the moment is the hottest Asian actor in Hollywood.
@crownheiress You know what let\'s stop this conversation, and we can resume it when Luhan is gonna be famous in Hollywood, or at least when he is gonna promote again outside China. which is never. Bye bye
@rangadev In all honesty, I think SM provided the red carpet for him to be popular in China. On his own, I doubt he will be able to conquer it. :-)
@rangadev Other countries also make it at the Cannes Festival... India, Chile and the Philippines if I\'m not correct have had numerous awards from there but it didn\'t translate to worldwide fame. People were more interested on who among the Hollywood stars attended Cannes.
@crownheiress I\'m an international fan and without the updates from allkpop and other korean sited I won\'t be able to know about Kris\' and Luhan\'s activities. What I\'m saying is that for me kpop idols are more popular than some chinese actors. If luhan and kris didn\'t debut with EXO, They won\'t became that popular. And if one day korean sites that international fans do follow will stop updating us about those two boys we won\'t be able to track their activities. Well maybe this do not apply to all but it really does for me. KPOP Idols really do attract more attentions nowadays.
He is actually starting to look like what he calls himself!! :D With the bonuses of looking more healthy~ <3
tbh im still annoyed a little by a few things. 1. the difference in hate between him and kris (not saying that i wanted them to get hate) 2.the fact that he first made out that he was leaving for only health.. then brought up other things like cf deals for exok and unfair treatment(which is fair enuf but atleast say that from the beginning) 3.he looks healthier now but if hes worried about his health....there really wasnt any downtime after him leaving exo(u would think he was gonna have a long rest) ..he went straight in to chinese media work with his new ppl, films, cfs etc.
Actually with Luhan there was down time. He didn\'t take on any new movies until quite a bit after. He had signed a contract (which SM organised) with Back to 20 while he was still with EXO, and had to fulfil those contractual duties and promote it. Another reason for the hate difference is because it is widely accepted that Luhan told the members beforehand and therefore the members accepted his leaving, whereas Kris didn\'t and so the members didn\'t either. With the fans many will just go along with how their idols react. Since EXO reacted reasonably well to Luhan leaving, the fans as able to deal with it more too.
So proud to see him doing so well now. SM could have killed him with their slave contracts, no wonder people want out. It\'s easy to bash Luhan but he never had a bad word to say about anyone and never would. He\'s still loyal to the boys and is there for them but he gets to be healthy, fit and happy doing what he wants in his home country. Well done to him I say!
I think I believe about Chinese brokers allure SM\' Chinese Idols to come back to China. With Victoria\'s story and Luhan and Kris\' activities in China entertainment industry. And now I want to know about ZhouMi\' story...
Fuck yes Lu-babyyyyyy~~ show all the haters and people that doubted you Lu Han! I\'m so happy for you and the fact that you\'re doing so well is making me so delighted. Love you so much Xiao Lu❤️
