I'm having a similar problem. I've been friends with this guy for two years and I have a crush on him. However, my friends told me not to tell him because it would mess up our friendship. Should I listen to them?

I wouldn't just jump being in love with him on him (complicated sentence). Maybe just start by dropping hints but make it seem like a crush. With any luck he will get the hint and ask you out...it could go from there...
