I watched the Pilot when it aired here, in the UK, and then bought the episodes that had aired in the US (I think up to episode 10) and watched them all in a night

Desmond. His story and his and Penny's romance has been great. His episodes are always epic.

Season 2 I think, it introduced us to DHARMA, more whispers, Desmond, The Swan and started to show a lot more of the Lost connections/seven degrees of separation thing,
