She seemed as younger quite lonely when Laura and Mary and later Laura and Albert didn't take her to their plays etc. and always said "Oh Carrie!" but then Cassandra became her good friend. So kinda them all three.

When James & Cassandra moved in with the Ingalls', Cassandra was asked to sit with Carrie at school & the girls were best friends since then, in "Days of Sunshine, Days of shadow part 1", when Pa Laura, Carrie, Cassandra & the others were getting ready to eat, Cassandra told Laura & Eliza Jane that she wants to sit by Carrie & Laura says "You just sit where Eliza Jane told you to sit, she's got this all worked out"
