It means, does it bug you when someone tells you that they support gays and such, but they say something like "but i dont like this this and this about gay people" or say "but they dont deserve" something like marriage because someone is gay?

There's this boxer from my country named Manny Pacquiao who said that he's not anti-gay and he, in fact, does have gay friends BUT DOESN'T LIKE the idea of gay marriage being legal and that he's against Obama's views of same-sex marriage. Like what the fuck?

Depends on what it is.

If someone is for gay rights, but then not marriage rights, yes, that does piss me off and annoy me infinitely.

It's hypercritical. Either you are for it or against it.

Either you're 100% supportive, or you're not, simple as that.

I found a great set of posters about this a while back, regarding fake allies. There are five of them and they contain the following phrases:

"I accept gay people. I just don't think they should be able to get married."

"I accept you for your orientation. I just don't want you to talk about it."

"I accept your gender. But I'm going to your real name, OK?"

"I accept your family. But you shouldn't have a kid. A child needs a mom & a dad."

"I accept you for whomever you love. As long as you don't use a weird label."

A lot of people here have already mentioned the issue about people who claim to support gay rights, but then turn out to be against gay marriage. Although I think the phrase out of these I've heard the most is the one about how gay couples should not have kids. Which is ridiculous because studies have even shown that same sex parents are more likely to raise a child more successfully as an equal team as opposed to straight couples. So there you go.

Depends how its phrased. Like if they say, "I support being gay but it's against my beliefs." That's fine, fair enough. But if they say something like "I accept gay people but I don't think that you should be able to marry." That's a bit different because then they're trying to push their beliefs onto someone else.
