Some of them can be reasoned with, but as they say, Haters are gonna hate. Just give up on those people, they aren't worth your time.

some people just dont know how to deal with it, so they think hurting the person is the only way to deal with it. i agree with Hinata-Snow, you should ignore it, but if it really gets out of hand, you should ask for help.

im really sorry about you being teased, and jumped & almost getting stabbed. :(

It sounds awful what happened to you. You are brave to be so open about it. It sucks but glbt people are hated by some so much, and I'm not sure exactly when you say you're 'VERY' open about it, but just be careful of your safety that's all I mean. Why would someone jump you or try to stab you? Maybe some people are afraid a glbt person will come onto them and that makes them mad cuz they can't handle it or they feel threatened by anyone who's different.

Be around accepting people and avoid the meanies, but you don't have to explain nuthin to no one you are who you are and that's your business.

First of let me say congratulations for your mindset. It takes a lot of guts to be so young and stand up for what you believe regardless of the torment you endure. But as for the question you pose I really don't think there is a easy answer. People deal with things in different ways and you'll need to find the way that best fits you. I wouldn't wait to seek out help though since you are facing not only pyhsical abuse, but mental as well. I would suggest if your school has a councilor, go talk to them and make them aware of the bullying and threats to your safty. If at all possible try to surround yourself with very supportive friends. Sometimes there is safty in numbers. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and remember.. Things will get better.

I'm 18, and bi, and I am very defensive about it. No one has ever really personally attacked me, verbally or physically...yet, but my best friend's mother is a bible-bashing, have-you-found-jesus bitch, who openly verbally attacks homosexuality, and a few times I've wanted to punch her.
But, if you're a peace-loving person, and I think you are (I am too), you should just keep your cool and walk away. I know, it's hard because of how they say it and how they love to see you hurt (believe me, I know).

But, I just try to laugh. honestly, I just laugh in their faces, because why should the stupid things they say affect how I live my life? And, they must be very sad and have pretty pathetic lives if they become happy causing other people pain.

Rant over...for now, you h8ers out there...
