I think it was Jay because in the episode where Jay and Nya go on a date he says he was the first to learn spinjitzu

oh. my. god. it wasnt jay, he was 1st to do spinjitzu, but not 1st to become a ninja, they never really explained it, but it was cole, because he was the 1st one to tell about it, also i emailed LEGO and they said that its cole, and that the producer tried to show that by showing how he was found 1st, and by making him leader. so there ya go.. its cole.. not jay, jay was the 1st to do spinjitzu, not become a ninja, sorry that really pisses me off that people think that doing spinjitzu makes you a ninja, js

Umm, just because you have seen the entire 1st season entirely, doesnt mean you know everything. Jay was the first to learn Spinjitzu, but not the very first person to become a ninja.
