Legend of the Seeker Question

I don't get something. In the book, Richard is not an expert at swordfighting, yet in the TV show, he is amazing at it? Why is that?

In Stone of Tears, he was already a swordmaster... he defeated 30 elite Baka Ban Mana warriors. And yeah, the essence of all previous Seekers gave him his fighting styles.

Its the magic of the sword that feeds the magic in himself. He is a war wizard that is why he is so good with the bow and just about any weapon he picks up. But until the end of the second book he denies the magic and fights it so he sucks because he is fighting other people and himself at the same time. In the T.V show they don't really say much about his magic or the swords.

there are a lot of things changed in the tv show from the books and i am really upset about it it is like the people that made the tv show just read the back of the book and then made the show it is very annoying.
