Leah POV
“Leah, Lee, babe wake up.” I moaned in response to Jake’s words.
“Come on Leah, time to wake up. We still have a lot of people to tell.” He said while shaking me gently. That got one of eyes open. I looked at him tiredly.
“Come on babe. I already got breakfast.” That got me out of bed.
Just mention food to a pregnant-wolf-shape-shifter and they will do basically anything you ask. With in reason that is.
I got up, pulled on some shorts a T-shirt and some slacks.
When I got to the kitchen there were a LOT of food.
All looking as if it came from a five star hotel or something.
“Jake did you do this all by your self?” If he did then why am I always the one cooking?
He let out a nervous laugh.
“No, I got the food at the Cullens, Esme made it.”
“Well it smells wonderful.” I said while sitting down besides him at the table.
Both of us stuffed ourselves full in silence. This silence was not awkward at all, it never was. After breakfast we washed the dishes and was of to tell our parents of me being pregnant.
(at Billy’s house both he and Sue was there)
Jake POV
“So what is this good news you are talking about sun?” Dad asked.
“Dad, Sue Leah will tell you.” With that they turned to her expectantly and she glared at me.
“Mom, Billy. I’m pregnant.” She said with a smile. Sue was around her neck immediately, congratulating and praising in her ear.
It took my father a second to fully understand what the words meant.
I bend down to give him a hug.
“I am so proud of you sun. My youngest child and only sun is making me a grandfather.” He stated with watery eyes. I new what he meant, when Leah and I got together we were still under the impression she was menopausal.
That meant if I were to die by some freak accident there would not be a rightful pack alpha, except for maybe Sam or Rachel’s kids.
But still. Then it was my turn to be hugged by Sue. Holy crow she had a vise grip that would shame a newborn vampire. I should know.
“Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Jake for making my girl so happy.
She was this happy the last time you guys got married. Congratulations to you. And you are now my favorite son-in-law.”
Sue said while a few rears made a trail down her cheeks.
“It is my pleasure Sue, I also love seeing her this happy.”
After the hug fest was over, Sue and Leah made lunch while Billy and I watched a game on the TV. After lunch we still have Sam and Emily to tell. Oh joy (note the sarcasm).
I wonder how that is going to go down.
