Lacey Chabert Question

Why is Lacey not the most famous person in history?

I just don't get it. She's gorgeous, she's talented, she's brilliant, she's a great person, so why is she in so many crappy or boring or unknown movies? Why is her name not on everyone's lips? Why am I embarrassed to admit to any of my friends and family that I'm a fan of her? Why am I getting sick and tired of waiting for her to realize her full potential?

Believe me I'm a huge Lacey fan but that being said she never grew as an actress. She can only play whiny, b***** or psycho and Hollywood is full of actresses that can play those roles. She should have used her time between Po5 and Mean Girls to work on her repertoire.

Although I agree with you, I'm not entirely sure how to answer your question. I think the problem lies with Lacey Chabert is either her talent agent/agency (who are solely responsible for choosing work for Lacey) or Lacey's lack of being diverse on screen. If it's the agencies fault then Lacey should move on to another talent agency (I’m sure she would have no trouble finding someone that wants her). If the problem lies on Lacey herself, then she probably can't act very different parts. I know she has played the ordinary "hot" girl at school (Not Another Teen Movie, Mean Girls, Black Christmas) and the weird girl (Lost In Space and Party Of Five). I'm sure she has played other types of characters but sadly the movies and shows listed are the only films she has been recognized for. Sorry for the long reply.

How would you answer if someone posed the same question to you about your present station in life? Are you living your life according to other people's expectations of you based solely on your personality and appearance?

I would entertain the notion that Lacey's current status is the result of several influences:

1. Acting is a job and nothing more. Lacey is subject to meet requirements in her work the same as you and I. Podiatrists are Doctors but they aren't called upon to perform brain surgery.

2. She is human after all and is subject to job burn out like the rest of us. Keep in mind she started acting at an age when most kids are just learning to ride a two wheeler. So at the young age of 26 she already has 20 years of work experience, that's about the same as most people in their 40's.

3. It's a matter of personal choice on her part. Her and her Parents seem to be very sensible people so I'm sure the great money she made as a child actor was properly invested providing her the ability to work at her leisure today.

4. As far as being a fame and fortune seeker; she's been there and done that so the luster and appeal is no longer a unique enticement. Being an A-Lister is not everyone's bench mark of success in life. No one thinks less of Teddy Kennedy for being a Senator for 47 years and not running for President; so why question Lacey's station in life?
