Sarah headed torwards the front door because she was late for class. Sarah Williams was 18 years old now and she was going through her last year in High School. "Sarah don't forget your backpack!" her stepmother, Karen, called out. She sighed in frustration as she dashed back into the kitchen and grabbed her backpack. "You better hurry now Sarah you don't want to be late." Karen said as her stepdaughter hurried out the door. when Sarah pulled up into the school parking lot, she barely made it in time. "Dave Valley." Mr. Klone called. "Here," Dave called back. "Sarah Williams," "I'm here" Sarah said gasping. As she took her seat Dave whispered; "Sarah where were you? I was looking for you in the hallway." 'Well sorry for being late! it's not my fault I overslept." she said taking out her textbook. After school, Sarah went home and Karen was cleaning like crazy. "Karen, why are you cleaning?" Sarah asked while plopping down on the couch. "I'm cleaning for your birthday of course! And don't you plop on the couch like that!" Karen scolded her. "Oh Yeah, like i need some party! I'm not a kid anymore!" Sarah said standing up. "That's no way of talking to your parent like that!" Karen said turning off the vacuum. "Well I'm almost 19!" Sarah said glaring at her. "Well I'm sorry for trying to celebrate!" Karen said looking hurt. Sarah ran upstairs and went in her room. "I wish the goblins would come and take me away right now!" she screamed.
