So here we are. Ironic isn't? You lost your dad at Christmas and now it's my turn. I'm sorry this happened. We both know how. There was no dementia in the family. You deserve so much better than what you had. A safer home and better parents that didn't have violent streaks. But you were a fighter till the end. And you won.
You and me were a pair, huh. We had fun. Some days were good, some were bad and some we were like oil and water. But we were 1 and type 2 *lol*. We definitely weren't the typical mother, daughter that's what made my growing up so special. I was always ready to fight for you. No matter how rough it got even that night in the hospital which you always felt bad for but guess what I'd do it again. No matter what I gave every bit of strength, mental and physical to help cause you always did that for me. Cause we were friends, compadres, movie buddies. You made staying at home fun. Candy fairy, birthday fairy that was all you! It hurts you're not here. You should be here. Christmas was your thing, you never took it for granted probably because it was always forgotten at your house. It was always so you to make sure my childhood was better. Dementia took you away. The last time I heard your voice was when you left. That hurt. So I'll remember you as you were. And as you always told me this isn't bye it's later.
So later momma cat. <3

When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (hold on)
If you think you've had too much
Of this life, well hang on
'Cause everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh no
Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone
No, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you've had too much
Of this life to hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries
Everybody hurts, sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes
So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
