Back in 2010 a song by three young men called 'Foster The People' was constantly playing on the radio (yes, we still had radio) called Pumped Up Kicks.
It was happy, catchy even the video was fun! No one quite knew the lyrics but hey, it was cool!

Yeah, well so was Brown Sugar and boy were we wrong on that one too!

In realty Pumped Up Kicks was a dark song about a troubled and bullied young man deciding to shoot his classmates for wearing.... pumped up kicks!

Here's proof:
Robert's got a quick hand
He'll look around the room, but won't tell you his plan
He's got a rolled cigarette
Hanging out his mouth, he's a cowboy kid
Yeah, he found a six shooter gun
In his dad's closet, and with a box of fun things
I don't even know what
But he's coming for you, yeah, he's coming for you
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
Daddy works a long day
He be coming home late, yeah, he's coming home late
And he's bringing me a surprise
'Cause dinner's in the kitchen, and it's packed in ice
I've waited for a long time
Yeah, the sleight of my hand is now a quick pull trigger
I reason with my cigarette
Then say, "Your hair's on fire, you must have lost your wits, yeah"
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
Run, run, run, run
R-r-r-run, run, run
R-r-r-run, run, run
R-r-r-run, run, run
Run, run, run
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You better run, better run faster than my bullet

Yeah, this happy, happy song is about school shootings. And the group wanted it to sound happy because they thought it would create attention? Well if that's the case why are you mumbling? Seriously, if no one can understand you, what's the point?
Also no matter how you say it, you can't make the message of school shootings or any tragedy sound good!

Remember that old joke about the woman wanting the mailman to sing the message about her sister to her? Didn't end well!

I understand what they want to to do but it's tacky and let's be real the music is distracting. Look how long we went with Brown Sugar.

This song was not done right despite the group's best intentions. Catchy beat, mumbling lyrics, maybe that was the point? Perhaps they didn't want you to know?
Anyway there's a time and place for everything especially with music. Happy doesn't always work.

The 10th Doctor and Rose Tyler were in a laboratory, that the Doctor had purchased, in order to test out his time-related experiments. He had been spending so much time with his random experiments, that he often ignored everybody around him. He didn't do it on purpose, but his allies weren't exactly thrilled, that the Doctor had forgotten their names and had started treating them as butlers and maids, rather than respectable friends. Martha Jones...
