Ktchenor Question

So, big night at the Oscars! Yay! But I want to know who is your favorite underrated actor or actress? And why? Lets show them some love! <3

My favorite is Anthony Perkins! He did some amazing roles, Fear Strikes Out, The Matchmaker, Desire Under the Elms and The Trial and so many more. And he worked with some awesome people, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck, etc...
Wonderful man, wonderful actor! Needs to be recognized!

So who's yours? :)

I guess "Psycho" series has already made Anthony Perkins a kinda legendary. 🙂

Yeah but it's almost kind of sad in a way. It eclipses the films he did before Psycho.

Yeah, true, from that point of view it's not really good when actor becomes associated with only one role, on the other hand it gives him additional popularity, however his other achievements, other good movies and roles become a bit forgotten...

Tony Jay. One of my absolute favorite actors, but he wasn't really a household name during his time. Special mention to the cast of the 60s Batman show.

I don't have any big underrated favorites, but if we are talking about Oscars 2019 - why Christian Bale wasn't the winner? Why? Like who's that guy from "Bohemian Rhapsody"? I guess nobody knew him before that movie. Actually I don't base the decision on who really has deserved Oscar on the movie they are nominated for, I think rather about their whole career. So I would rather give it to Christian or Williem Defoe or Viggo Mortensen or Bradley Cooper, maybe I'm old fashioned but at least these guys have been known for years.
P. S. Yes, I haven't even seen "Bohemian Rhapsody" yet, however planning to watch someday, maybe then I'll understand why everyone seems to love Rami Malek's performance.

Well if it helps Rami Malek also did Mr. Robot so maybe that played a part in it? But I understand what you're saying and I agree. There are some actors that I've loved forever that I feel deserved an oscar and didn't get it so I totally understand what you mean. :)

Oh yeah, looks like "Mr. Robot" is a quite popular TV show. However I doubt that I will ever watch it. Yep, it's just my opinion, who I would give that Oscar to. Maybe one day I will start to understand new generations of celebrities, but now I just feel a kinda old-fashioned 😄 (That's it, have to finally watch "Bohemian Rhapsody")

Me neither. But let me know how you like the film! (As for me no one plays Freddy Mercury better than Freddy Mercury! *lol!*😁 Love Queen! ❤) Hope you enjoy it!😊
