why do people hate kairi? shes not that bad...but most ppl seem to hate her...

I, personally, Love Kairi. She's a sweet character and she portrays a girl with an extremely strong heart.
From what I have seen, Most people tend to hate her due to 'being a damsel in distress' or 'she can't fight' or 'she didn't accept Riku's love' and other terrible excuses like that.
Some people hate her because they also like the yaoi pairing SoraXRiku (I'm a yaoi fangirl to, but not a fan of that pairing), which is no excuse to hate on kairi.
Also, some people are just so in 'love' with Sora that they hate Kairi because he likes her more.
They as well say she can't fight, which is untrue, because in KH2, Riku gave Kairi a keyblade and she fought numbers of heartless, heck! She even dove in herself!
Even though they did not show the fighting sequence, SHE CAN FIGHT.
I've also heard the most ridiculous excuse to hate her.
That being 'because she's a girl'.
That disgusts me...It's a very silly reason to hate a character.
Most of the hating is done by girls themselves too. Which makes it even sillier.
Also, Kairi does not appear as much in the game for people to actually hate her.
most people claim her to be a whore or a slut (which is silly because she has done no such thing to make people think that.)
And people call her annoying (again, which she has done no thing to prove that.)

So in short, Kairi gets bashed for silly reasons that noone ever has a strong explanation for.

The best explanation I have seen is that
'She just didn't appeal to me and I find her boring.'

That makes much more sense than the excuses I have heard from others.

Their just jealous because she's pretty, and she's Sora's girlfriend :3

because there jealous of her. probably for being pretty and sora's girl, which is stupid cause its not like he's gunna pop out of the tv and fall for them. also most of those people could be yaoi fans and want her out of the picture. i dunno i love her!

1.she does not care for any other person except sora
2.she hogs sora all for herself
3.ppl who make the pics on google only makes kiari kiss sora
4.this 1 is not about how i F***IN hate her but go to google and type in sora and riku then u will see alot of pics of them making out and having s..e..x

MayB cause A: Some people like(or like like) Sora(like my sis) and R jealous that He likes Kairi way mor. Or B: Kairi gets captured alot and they have 2 save her(like Mario and Peach), it can get really anoying. Or C: They just dint like her. Or D: None of the above(Idk Y theyd pick that).

Because those people, myself included, think she's a whiny damsel in distress that can't do shit.

I don't exactly hate her... It's just that I think her little flower(gay)blade was kinda pointless to show. And I really think if the creators want less plot holes, they should show her kicking butt at least. Oh and if it's a problem, give her something besides a shorter skirt. lol. like how about Ninja like pants? Not like Yuffie's; that's her thing.

Mostly because all she seems to do is stand around and get kidnapped. I don't hate her, but I am so glad she seems to be on the verge of getting a bigger and better role in the series.

Because in people in the Games eyes she is perfect and A princess.But having a pure Heart isnt that special we are are all still people and everyone acts like Kairi is the biggest deal EVER! Everyone outside the game disagrees that Kairi is perfect for nobody is perfect and Kairi is a "readhead even though she is clearley a BRUNETTE (also i am a re3al redhead and She doesnt deserve to be a redhead ause she is JUST SOOOOOOO PERFECT)! >:(

What about the people who legitimately aren't fond of her character because of their personal preferences? I generally don't care about "oh so mighty chosen one" characters who always do the right thing and is loved by everyone. It's the same reason I'm not too fond of Sora either. But the difference between her and Sora is that she's the chosen one, always does the right thing, and is loved by everyone for no freaking reason. Other than that she's a pretty girl and the love interest.

Or maybe I'd just like her to do something in a game for once other than sitting there and being kidnapped. The quality of the story always drops dramatically whenever she appears because it's all so predictable and done-before. It is a little pissy to have her be that one aspect of KH that the writers don't bother putting any effort into. I'm half-tempted to say they put more effort into continuously bringing back Winnie the Pooh's mini games than they did in writing her.

Here's a better question: what reason is there to like her?
